burnnn, I'm just an edit lol. Anyway I have enough work trying to help you figure out your type tyvm! wtf!
It is harder to do people you can't interact with or ask questions though really.
Alright, well, I like her more after starting to watch this. I just signed up for a recreational soccer league, and I'm about to finish a sand volleyball one. I doubt her teams get quite as drunk as mine though (and they still manage to have a worse record than mine haha).
k Fe, IP, Ne/Si. Apparently as of yesterday I'm only capable of typing people as SEI. Everyone is my dual now, yesssss.

she was my mad girl crush
i thought she was ISFp but now i think she might be IxFj.
I'm not seeing Se at all or much Fi, at least from that clip. A case could probably be made for INFj though I bet, and she does VI a little bit that way for me, although I'll still go the other.
What made you change your mind Ms. K?

She's hard to type. There's a lot of nervous energy there..a lot. In that sense, she acts how i'd probobly act in an interview type of setting. I'm not saying she's ISTP but it mirrors how i'd probobly act. Hmm
well i think i was typing her more on her characteron Gimore Girls... i remember i thought her huge forehead, clean understated style and interest in Harvard (though she ended up at Yale right? i don't remember) were ISFp. I continued to enjoy lush pictures of her as ISFp especially one where she appeared a bit like an ISFp i hate irl
but then i realized that she actually didn't have to be ISFp just because she looks amazing. IxFj are also shy and something about her hunched over gait reminds me of my best friend, the Ne INFj. Not sure at all though. Don't know much about her.. why read when you have such pretty pictures? heh
btw that pic doesn't look typical of her style. Something demure and ladylike and classy like what she has on in the video is how I normally picture her.
hehe, you are a very wise person.
I do agree that she has the image of some INFjs, and the interview is a very planned and rehearsed thing, so it's hard to figure out whether anything in it is real at all or just pre-packaged image. NM going into the usefulness of trying to figure out long-term trends from some 6 minute block of her life where she's probably about as nervous as is possible.
They were (are?) a couple in reality, for a long time.
Socionix types Alexis Bledel as SLE and Milo Ventimiglia as SLI.
I agree with Milo = SLI
Dont know if i agree with Alexis being SLE.
And they seem a lot closer than what a contrary relationship would suggest.
Discuss.

my impressions of them are
Milo: LII
Alexis: SEI
also Milo used to date Hayden Panettiere, who is imo ESE.
after an in-depth discussion on this topic with Ashton, I'm a convert--Alexis is SLE.
I am also changing my opinion on Milo's type, I agree with LII > SLI

Quiet/reserved SLE and extroverted irrational seem plausible. ego is dubious.

Reminds me of a skittish Zooey Deschanel, and an LSI my IEI-Ni friend used to date.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
Works as far as I can see. She has the same hyper-concetrated gaze that Gulenko ascribes to Sensory-Creatives.

Oh u guys think LSI? i guess Ashton was suggesting a static beta too.
How do u guys see introversion in her? (meaning I want to learn)

So I just watched the videos DeAnte posted, as well as the above interview with Letterman, and did a more careful analysis. I am convinced my initial assessment was correct: she most likely SEI; IEI being the only other realistic possibility. I have to admit, I am quite thoroughly confused by all this "Beta ST" talk.
The videos make it plain that she is an introvert. Her body language is quite withdrawn and closed, and her arms rarely leave her sides. Her voice is also quite subdued and quiet. Introversion is the clearest thing I can see about her; I don't even really see how she could be mistaken for anything else.
IP also comes through pretty clearly. She seems relaxed and "soft", even when she's nervous as she plainly is with Tavis Smiley, who keeps hitting her PoLR with these Te-based questions about the mechanics of acting ("What did you learn as a model that you could apply as an actor?" etc.). She's plainly uncomfortable in that setting, note her fidgeting with her hands. Furthermore, she even specifically talks about how she personally doesn't really plan things, she just "goes with the flow" and does whatever "feels right" at the time. That is quite blatantly IP + Fe.
She keeps talking about Fe, but rarely Ti. She's always talking about how "fun" things are. Her Fe is quiet, but present -- she seems more relaxed and expressive with Letterman, who tries to create a more informal atmosphere than the formal interviews that DeAnte posted.
In the Letterman interview, talking about how bad she is at driving, she says "I know all the rules, but I forget 'em." This is not Ego Ti. Do LSIs or SLEs just forget the rules of the road as they're driving, not just once, but frequently? SLEs might disregard the rules, but I can't imagine an SLE wanting to obey the rules and being unable to. Note how embarrassed she is by it. In my opinion, driving is a primarily Te skill, supported by Si. Her shame and embarrassment at her poor driving makes sense as a PoLR hit.
Anyway, she strikes me as a very introverted SEI, perhaps N or H subtype.
Ashton, WA, DeAnte, Gilly, what is your reasoning behind typing her as Beta ST? I am honestly confused, and would like some insight into what you're thinking.
Quaero Veritas.
wow Krig great analysis you also sum up well a lot of what i was thinking.
Well i think youre taking what she says way too literally. She was just trying to come off as cutesy by saying she forgets the rules. What she actually said was impatience is the root of her driving problems, and she breaks the speed limit (you dont really need to remember the speed limit, its posted). Sounds like a disregard for rules to me. She also ridicules people who hold her to the rules (laughing internally at the police officer and at the people who yell at her from their own cars). If she was really embarrassed about it, she wouldnt be talking about it on national TV at all. She didnt seem embarrassed at all, she just makes a "faux" embarrassed image because it makes her look "cutesy" and thats what people expect. You think an SLE/LSI is going to admit fault?
I also didnt see any hint of nervousness in her whatsoever, but any aversion to Te-talk could be because she doesnt value it and was thus unprepared for such questions. The Fe-talk just means shes Fe-valuing.
As for substantiating the beta ST hypothesis, ill let Ashton and DeAnte field that one better than me. What I can say is she has a very static look with an Se-quality to her gaze.
Enneagram: 9w1 6w5 2w3 so/sx
Krig is right.
It sounds like our disagreement is mostly based on differing assessments of her character, rather than a different understanding of socionics. There's really not much else I can say here, other than that I think SEI explains all the data better, without resorting to speculations of duplicity.
Quaero Veritas.
Hmm.
Interesting points Krig. Bledel's mannerisms and reactions do indeed come off alot differently in interviews taken place in front of a live audience. The nervous energy [resulting in the abrupt, fidgety body language] is still there, but more malleable and dynamic, slightly more natural ease of emotional expression as well.
Initially, I was thinking a few of the pictures I saw of her displayed a general firmness and internal solidity often found in static/IJs, and even perhaps lacking the ease of posture and fluidity of movement possessed by irrational statics/types. I also noticed what Gilly refered to as a "hyper-concetrated gaze" similiar to what I've seen in alot of + egos. Her more controlled, self contained behavior in comparison to other SEIs like Bryce Dallas Howard or Marion Cotillard for example, didn't do much to change that impression.
Bledel is kinda weird and different pic/vids make me think different things.
After watching another interview with Letterman in HD, SEI does seem like a good possibility. At any rate, irrational seems clearer.

She doesn't look SEI, and she seems too stiff personality wise (equating that mainly to logical types) and just kind of boring to me. SEIs have more of a warmth or emotionality (one or the other), she's just kind of stale. Idk, it's hard to tell what her actual type is, and I don't really like her (even though I think we have some commonalities, she's more here-and-now focused) so I'm not going to watch anymore. I could see her as SLE.
she ISTP, he ENTP
I get compared to her by people irl sometimes. I'd be interested on what people think of her type and why. I personally identify with both SEI and IEE.
Hello, my name is Bee. Pleased to meet you .
i can't type her, but she strikes me as 4w3 (so/sx), which makes some types for her more likely than others, i guess.
Alexis Bledel is some introverted logician; excluding LSI
