Default PETITION TO STOP USING MBTI ACRONYMS

Does anyone else want to stop using the same acronyms that MBTI uses? One of the reasons is the confusion; people have a habit of interchanging them which should probably not be be done.

Saying something like "Sensory-logical Introvert" works. (Socionics.com has also used something like "Introverted Sensor with Thinking".)

If that is too long to write, and you want an abbreviation, SiTe works.

    Comments?

Ive been trying to use Xi/Xe for introverts to avoid confusion. I'll have to learn the other way, too, but I like the idea.

I don't mind the MBTI acronyms, just as long as the last letter is lower case. I get peeved when people use INTP and INTp as if they're interchangeable.

You know the last leter thing wasn't a socionics rule anyway, right? Russian socionics (as far as I can tell) use all capitol letters (at least that's they way it is on the site).

Socionics.com recommends to lower case the last letter to tell the diffrence, but that doesn't really help. People generally don't notice or pay attention to that anyways.

I like "Sensory-logical Introvert" better than "ISTP" and it's diffrent enough to seperate from an MBTI type. It might take some thinking power to change, I know, but it's really not that bad.
    MAYBE I'LL BREAK DOWN!!!

    Hear hear.

I'd rather keep the MBTI acronyms. They are technical with enough zeal to keep them from being boring.

Then again, think of the awesome word play we could come up with:

    SiTe - "What a site!"
SeTi - "Support SETI! Donate to your local ET charity."
SiFe - "Looks like we'll need to sife-on some gas."
NiTe - "What a nite for a fortune-teller reading, eh?"
NiFe - "Look out! He's got a nife!"
TiSe - "You should en-tise your customers with a gimmick."
TeNi - "Teni-tus is an annoying buzzing in the ear."

    ...and so on...

Cone, I know what you mean by the technical part. I thought about that too when thinking of typing people. One thing that I thought about was trying to pin someon's type by movements. Then I realized it; why not use the same letters that BrainTypes uses for typing through movements! Duh, that's why they use them, them make sense that way. And in case you were wondering, yes, I do think they secretly use socionics at BrainTypes.com.

Come on Cone, don't you think, "Intuitive-logical Introvert" sounds better? I know INTPs usually don't like change and doing things a new way, but think about it...

Pedro and I already changed our sigs to name the new type, jump on the bandwagon! j/k, but I think it makes the most sense (to me).

I'd like Sloughi or Gecko for IXTp

So then, instead of "what type am I/is he/she/that celeb in VI" and "how to win a type's heart" questions, this forum will be full of questions like "I guess I'm Dog, but I hate dogs. I want to be Panda!! How can I?" or "I find my brother's girlfriend is Dove and I'm allergic of it. Should I avoid her?" or "My boss's face resembles a cunning fox or a cruel hound. Which type he would be, Dog or Fox?" or blah blah.

Oh, I like that the tiger thing. It fits the INTp well. Makes me think of Blake too, you know The Tiger and the Lamb?

No, please carry on it so that people never create threads like "Tiger is NO INTp" or "Panda is more suitable for ISFp".
I will search poems of geckos represents weak well or animals suitable for other on-border people, or...just pass till the problem emerges and overwhelms us.

Well, my vote goes for the function method: TiNe.

LII is okay, but I still have to sit there and figure out the i/e quality of the functions.

    Animals?

Maybe we should all take this test: http://www.animalinyou.com/survey.asp and see if there's a correlation to type.

I got Penguin or Owl. Which one sounds most like TiNe(or LII or INTj)?

My dog is so fickle that he won't come by without foods or a lead. So it's okey.

    Does this work for people...

    Sensory-logical Introvert. Master. Fox.
Intuitive-ethical Extravert. Adivsor. Cat. (Ok, I changed it.)
    Logical-sensory Extravert. Administrator. Gorilla?
    Ethical-intuitive Introvert. Humanist. Dove.
    Intuitive-logical Introvert. Critic. Tiger.
    Sensory-ethical Extravert. Politician. Bear?
    Logical-intuitive Extravert. Owner. Snake .
    Ethical-sensory Introvert. Keeper. ?
    Logical-sensory Introvert. Inspector. Wolf.
    Ethical-intuitive Extravert. Teacher. Hyena.
Sensory-logical Extravert. Marshal. Lion (I was gonna name INTJ that after Pedro, but this works better).
    Intuitive-ethical Intorvert. Lyricist. Panda.
Logical-intuitive Introvert. Analyst. Owl (that's better).
    Ethical-sensory Extravert. Enthusiast. ??
    Intuitive-logical Extravert. Finder. Beaver.
    Sensory-ethical Introvert. Mediator. Bunny?

I think some of the names, like "Critic", should be changed. There must be a better word to describe INTPs than "Critic".

It kind of sounds like Cone and Baby are on the fence with this one.
