Default why is sp/sx thread all about skeletons & plants?

    Seriously why?
and what's the difference between sp/sx vs sx/sp?

from the descriptions I read I lean more to sp/sx, but when I check the images and videos in each of sp/sx & sx/sp threads I liked sx/sp's images and videos more, at least they're more alive & don't have plants

So, Is it just a taste issue? or is there something wrong in my understanding of them?

I think the OP of that thread just started posting images she liked, and it kinda stuck with people. There's much more diversity to the stacking than death + flowers, but that seems to be glossed over pretty quickly.

One could make the argument that the death+rebirth theme is a sign of the sp/sx contra-flow anti-human philosophical outlook.

Some of the stuff in sp/sx thread repels me and some of it is ok. Just post what you feel represents sp/sx. Most of the stuff there is by agreement since the theme is being followed. If you don't like it start your own theme. I do that in sx/sp. I post what I want and sometimes I realize after it might have suited another stacking just as well, or even better, but it's pretty much personal expression and impressions. Sometimes for other stackings I do analyze a bit before posting.

I looked around and can't find one skull here. I thought I had at least one, if not two. Some of my walls are covered with African masks and I have a couple tasteful nude paintings. Lots of candles, incense burners, pyramids, vampire and dragon stuff, a Thai spirit house, crystals, stones, petrified wood that glitters, many tarot decks, witchy, faery stuf... etc... I have a dreamcatcher over my bed. By describing it, it probably sounds awful but people say my room in particular has really good vibes.

I need to get a crystal skull. I think that will work.

as for the focus part, I think everyone focus on romantic relations, so I can't say I am sx based on this (for me non-romantic relations aren't so important, when I change school/work/home I don't usually think about mainlining the old relations)
as for sp focusing on preserving things, I don't relate to this or don't think of it as preserving but I definitely don't care about gardening or taking care of clothing

as for the syn vs contra flow I am not really sure how would they manifest but maybe contra flow since whenever I join a group it is as if I ruin the atmosphere

Liches can cast death and decay. Go attack stormwind and bring them to their knees.

Preservation is a symptom of decay, think about it that way.
Sex is a symptom of death, think about it that way.

What drives our desire to preserve and procreate, death and decay.

I thought about this but I was lazier than searching for what represents sp/sx, but here is some images I like (not sure if they fit any stacking)

explaining instincts as death and decay is really unique, but I see your point thanks

That style of fantasy will probably appeal to lots of different people of different stackings for different reasons, but I guess they all represent a certain mastery of the self that I would associate with a self-pres first type.

I thought someone would say this, then how about this collection from both sp/sx & sx/sp threads?

They all seem to be so last and most sp first. I relate the phoenix with sx first. The image of the girl could be an expression of self pity in any type but the way it is presented could be 4ish.

As promised, here are quoted descriptions of both (sp/sx & sx/sp) with my comments on them
    Source: https://oceanmoonshine9.wordpress.com/five-stacks/

    Self-pres/Sexual

This subtype, like the self-pres/social, is more typical of the depictions of type Five. The self-preservational instinct accentuates the self-contained, withdrawing tendencies of the Five. Fives of this subtype love their time alone with a passion, and pursue it more actively even than the other subtype of self-pres Five, although with the sexual instinct second, they often want to find time for intimates as well. On the down side, they have more disdain for people and little use for the social aspects of life. They want to be left alone or they want to share their inner world with their intimates. The intensity of the sexual instinct is reserved for their intimates and even there it is sporadic. The self-pres energy gives this subtype a solid foundation and some degree of practicality.

These Fives are conflicted when it comes to experiencing and expressing emotions. They usually default to emotional repression and to detached intellectual analysis. This is a dynamic common to all Fives, but with the self-pres/sexual instinctual stacking, the balance of these forces is pretty precarious and it seems as though the scales are being constantly adjusted one way or another. As the social instinct is the least developed, the social arena gets the drier more intellectual approach almost by default.
This seems very accurate for me

    Sexual/Self-pres

This subtype has a lot in common the self-pres/sexual instinctual stacking. They experience many of the same internal conflicts surrounding relationships, the need for independence and emotional expression. The sexual/self-pres subtype differs however in being more intense, more counterphobic (1). They entertain more dark nihilistic ideas, ideas that most others don’t want to consider (2).

With this subtype, a lot of energy revolves around the issue of boundaries (3). Sexual/self-pres Fives tend to forge strong connections quickly and deeply (4), but if they feel betrayed, begin to feel overwhelmed, or if they feel that the connection doesn’t serve their true needs, can seem to cut the connection precipitously and “go cold.” They have high standards for significant others. They must feel that they can share their emotions with a significant other without being judged. This is their private world that they share. Relationships can be difficult, because individuals of this subtype will still want their own space and alone time, while at other times will want intense connection. Because the social instinct is least developed, this subtype is not very concerned with how others perceive them (except their intimates). This subtype is deceptive in that they may not seem to be especially intense – until they are engaged in a conversation they find interesting. Then the intensity and emotion become apparent. The internal struggle for this subtype is similar to that of the self-pres/sexual, but more energized and volatile (5), and getting to know this subtype means getting to know that.
    1) I am not counterphobic
    2) "more dark nihilistic ideas" is too subjective to use for comparison. any examples?
    3) any examples of issue of boundaries?
    4) I don't think I forge strong connections quickly
    5) again "more energized and volatile" is too subjective to use for comparison. any examples?

i think i started that thread, but i can't remember. i don't expect what resonates with me as representing my sp/sx experience to be true for everybody else who identifies as sp/sx. if other sp/sx people independently post things that they feel capture the stacking it will give a more complete picture.

you seem to be pissed off, but I don't really mind being sp/sx or sx/sp as long as I am so-last
Not relating to pictures shouldn't deter you,
Actually I was bored in my new assignment so I thought making a thread will help
besides a lot of the pictures in the sp/sx thread are more linked to enneagram 4 sp/sx.
so we have a lot of E4 sp/sx here?

why waste your time thinking about it when you can just go to the thread and see who started it

    I can't argue with this
