this could be a lot of things, i think it is an introverted perceiving function though ESxj or ENTj.. i dont think it's passionate enough to be ENFj though). INTp maybe too.

New Pornographers - "Sing Me Spanish Techno"

Even though I absolutely love their music, I actually think The New Pornographers are either a Gamma or Beta band. I don't know about the song in particular, but it has the same strong and harsh rhythm as most of A.C. Newman's songs.

There is a big difference between music Alphas like and music Alphas make - one is objective and one is not.

Of the videos posted so far, I think The Postal Service and B52's songs are the best representatives of Alpha music. The Rock Lobster video/lyrics are a great example of Ne: "but it wasn't a rock - it was a rock lobster!"

Rick says Billy Joel is SEE, and this song helps to confirm it. He's just listing a bunch of random things from pop culture, with no hint of structure or about their significance - Te > Ti and weak Ti and Ne.

And here is their Blog, which is also rather Alpha with odd stories and experiences being shared. They are a husband and wife duo who spontaneously decided to do a music gig during their honeymoon. Many of their songs deal with young and innocent love and all of their albums have some sort of underlying story to them, which seems to be common amongst Alpha bands.
