Now that's just not true, I don't think Dr. Phil or Jerry Seinfeld are ENTPs. Seriously, though, if Carlos Mencia and The Rock aren't ENTPs, then what are they? It's very likely they're the same type, those two are just too similar.

Sure.
1. He has the body movements of an ENTP. If you would study body movements, you would already know the diffrence between them. An ENTP would use both sides of his body well at the same time and have more body rythm and smooth coordination. An ENTJ would move more controled and precise. They are more mechanical and you will usually be able to see one side of their body more dominat than the other.
2. He speaks like an ENTP. If you ever watch The Rock do an interview, than watch Carlos Mencia do a stand-up routine you will see what I mean. They both have the same voice, speech patterns and mannerisms. I've even seen both of them do the same "Yeepyuuupp" scream.
3. He is an actor. You have to remember that personality is irrevelant when typing people, because your type is not your personality. It would be even worse to try and type an actor by their personality. This is what socionics.com said about celebrities.
I don't know where you see Te in The Rock's personality, but even if you do you have to realize that personality is a "mask" that people where. Watch The Rock in Be Cool and you'd be convinced he was a feeler. That's what actor's do. His true self seems to be a fairly easy going guy open to new posibilties and he is always trying and exploring new things. This would not be typical of an ENTJ.

Why would you comment on a subject that you are not educated in? VI (including body movements) is the most reliable way to type celebrities. You don't have to believe me, but this isn't something I made up. You'd be surprised how you can type someone just off their body movements. I know a lot of people won't believe it, but that's their fault, not mine. If you learn to open up your eyes you will realize that you watch people almost everyday of your life. There is a quote at BrainTypes that I particuarly like, "On the road to the future, each progressive spirit is opposed by a thousand appointed to guard the past."

Now, I do not know personally if he is ENTp, but I do know that he is nothing like the way he is protrayed in the media in real life. But is there a point in arguing totally? No ...

Ok, maybe that picture wasn't great. But they DO have similarities in their facial expressions, posture, ect. Is this a better comparison?
One thing that I always notice about these two are the wrinkled eyebrow, the stare, ad the slightley opened mouth. Also, they both look like they are slouching back (uncommon for ExTJs).

This is an entertaining interview between Ross and The Rock. What type are they both? I think Ross is an Alpha, and with The Rock, I could see SEE. He's quite lighthearted.

What I like about Dwayne Johnson is that he's actually quite a gifted actor. I remember seeing him on SNL and he was absolutely hilarious (riffing on the type of characters he's usually type-casted into).

Yeah, he does have a good sense of humour. He's surprisingly quite a nice guy; a people person. Maybe Se valuing would be unlikely, based on the fact that he seems comfortable with it, but doesn't really use it.
With Johnathan Ross, Cyclops is right; he's a good host. That's his job, so you'd expect him to be quality at it, but I'm not sure Ross is supervising him.

Well, evidently he's comfortable with Ross' use of Fe, even if he doesn't value it.
I don't think going to the gym, working out, wrestling, or starring in action movies are automatic criteria for Se ego types. What about Arnold Schwarzenegger? He's an LSE, and he works out and stars in action movies to what some would deem as excess. You have to analyse the reasons as to why he goes to the gym to make any claim about how gym and the ego block are related.
I agree witi this. Also, someone may have strong or weak S, but irrespective of that they may be fortunate to be born with the type of genetics which is naturally good at sports or body building, so I could see why they would find a career in that particular field, because they are genetically good at it.
Maybe Rock has combined his natural athleticism and developed a weaker S function in this particular field to excell at it.

yes very true I'm not saying he's ESFp simply because of those things. There's evidently a lot more at work in typing someone. I'd need to study him a bit more before I could provide an adequate response on why I believe he's ESFp as right now I'm operating almost strictly on intuition combined with aligning him to type descriptions.
You mentioned though he's quite "lighthearted" and taking this into consideration, even the action movies that he tends to star in, i.e. "The Rundown" are quite lighthearted.
According to socionics.com, hes LIE. I personally am not sure, but LIE could work I guess.
He reminds me a lot of Freddie Prinze Jr., actually. I don't see LIE being likely, though. Despite the tough-guy posturing, I get an impression of Ne/Si-oriented softness underneath. That's as far as I've got, for now.

It's interesting, actually; they're both actors who I assumed were lame Hollywood types at first, due to the personas they both used to project, but then after seeing them in a few movies, etc., realized they were actually pretty cool, likeable guys. For that reason I'm tempted to investigate ESE as a possibility, but that's purely an unsubstantiated hypothesis, not anything resembling a conclusion.

I happened to watch his interviews on youtube recently after catching his latest movie. Seems like a pretty awesome person, even though I did not really have a good first impression of him before watching his movies and interviews.
Yeah, he seems pretty cool.
I think Ganin has him down as ENTj.
I've seen alot of his movies but I have no grasp of his type.
