    Default Children of Men

Lying in bed sick with a cold today and watching the 2006 dystopian film Children of Men.

Noticing Michael Caine and have come to realize that Michael Caine and John Lennon VI VERY similarly. Similar ways of walking and facial expressions, too. LIEs, imo.

Clive Owen and Michael Caine (actors more than characters in the film) seem like two Gammas (maybe duals?). Both these guys=super attractive as a side note.

Julianne Moore also ESI? Any other thoughts?

Apologies if if a thread on this movie already exists!

I can't say which type Michael Caine is, but I was very much able to relate to his role in Zulu as a highly trained but inexperienced officer who was thrust into a desperate situation.

I’ll have to watch that again - saw it 20 years ago at least and don’t remember much. But interesting!

    Excellent movie.

SEE for Caine's character, even a grimdark delta fits?

LIE for Owen's and ESI for Moore's would make sense.

    Key could also be SEE.

Long tracking shots like this are what influenced Birdman and are the reason that movie won best picture.

    Spoilers and viewer discretion advised.

I was more typing the actors themselves. But yeah I just reviewed a ton of young Michael Caine photos and agree SEE! Especially if my brother is SEE as I now think. Lots of similar expressions in the photos of Michael.

I like that the two sides of violent force in the film fit Delta and Beta, while none of the protagonists do.
Projection is ordinary. Person A projects at person B, hoping tovalidate something about person A by the response of person B. However, person B, not wanting to be an obejct of someone elses ego and guarding against existential terror constructs a personality which protects his ego and maintain a certain sense of a robust and real self that is different and separate from person A. Sadly, this robust and real self, cut off by defenses of character from the rest of the world, is quite vulnerable and fragile given that it is imaginary and propped up through external feed back. Person B is dimly aware of this and defends against it all the more, even desperately projecting his anxieties back onto person A, with the hope of shoring up his ego with salubrious validation. All of this happens without A or B acknowledging it, of course. Because to face up to it consciously is shocking, in that this is all anybody is doing or can do and it seems absurd when you realize how pathetic it is.

Not sure about the characters, but the actors:

    > Michael Caine: LSI

    > Clive Owen: SLE

    > Julianne Moore: ESE

IMO. I don't know about anyone else. It's hard to tell whether Kee's character is an Se-valuing irrational type or just an impulsive teenager, assuming Se-devaluing types can be impulsive when they're teenagers.

I was typing the characters. I agree with ESE for Moore. She played a ESE villian in The Kingsman Golden Circle (grinding up people in a meat grinder and then serving them as burgers in her ultra-lux 1960s style throw back diner? um, hello, ESE)

Clive Own I have bounced back and forth as SLE and LIE, depending on my understanding over the years. I'm pretty sure he would be a dual for me, yeah.

Julianne Moore doesn’t really remind me of other ESE’s, but I guess I can see the typing.

Clive reminds me A LOT of a young Dean Martin. I vote Gamma at the very least there.
