    Default Conservatives go full SJW, censor the use of trigger words

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/natio...tml?tid=pm_pop

    The Trump administration is prohibiting officials at the nation’s top public health agency from using a list of seven words or phrases — including “fetus” and “transgender” — in official documents being prepared for next year’s budget.
    * science-based

    * fetus

    * transgender

    * vulnerable

    * entitelement

    * diversity

    * evidence-based

    CDC director says there are ‘no banned words’ at the agency

    sounds like they were actually attempts at specifying words that would derail the discussion in congress by triggering lawmakers, so as to "deload" the science and keep it objective. that makes sense, assuming it was purely optional and it was an attempt to be more objective not less

    in other words supposing you can couch the same information in words that don't carry with them ideological baggage this could be a good thing, assuming the underlying information is the same its ever been and not twisted in any way, this should operate to benefit less of any given agenda which is really what we want from institutions dedicated to developing information to be used by policy makers

    its like if you can put a report in front of congress and be like "100,000 will die unless we implement this measure that pays for itself over the long run" and say "transgender people receiving free medical care will reduce suicide and contribute to the economy", policy A will pass, if congress is full of haters, and policy B wont. so this is an attempt to use logic to get around their ethical prejudice

    the outrage probably comes from it sidestepping the issue, making it seem like a "win" for bigots in the sense that now you can't "call it what it is" and inasmuch as that is the case bigots have won in erasing from the lexicon consideration of certain groups, in essence they see it as kowtowing to the ignorance which should be ethically battled head on. CDC just wants to get the job done
