    Default relationships

I have an ILI friend in her late 40s who has been married to her dual for 12 years. She, her husband and I went out for coffee last saturday where I told them that I had typed them and how endearing it was to me that they were a dual pair who fell in love and were together for this long. The ILI said "you know, we both had our share of failed marriages and me more than my husband was cold and closed off to the idea of a relationship. But he asked me out and I said yes because I thought he was a great practicioner of his art. We both knew that this was right and got married three months after we met." He has some health issues, is slow and sluggish and often has troubling thoughts about the future because of his weak intuition of time and what might happen later on and he said "you'll probably want to leave me" to which her replay was "never honey, you are irreplaceable. " how can you not feel such warmth and love from watching thia whole unit. The interaction was magical and it was as if they protected the integrity of their relationship. He said "you know this is like a house. We have to maintain it when outside sources, time , environment, pressures, work to corrode it. It's something that we do." I'm just reflecting on love.

    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Honestly I think getting married in 3 months is insanely fast. It's great it sounds like it's working out for them both this time, but it doesn't surprise me if they had previous failed marriages, if they both tend to jump into marriage that quickly.
I agree about it not being type related. A lot of people worry about the future.

    Edit: *deleted* Um, nevermind

I may say something different tomorrow...

Important to note! People who share "indentical" socionics TIMs won't necessarily appear to be very similar, since they have have different backgrounds, experiences, capabilities, genetics, as well as different types in other typological systems (enneagram, instinctual variants, etc.) all of which also have a sway on compatibility and identification. Thus, Socionics type "identicals" won't necessarily be identical i.e. highly similar to each other, and not all people of "dual" types will seem interesting, attractive and appealing to each other.

The nice part about it was in the way that she reassured him. He's a realist and doesn't foresee what's around the corner so he is slightly paranoid and suspicious. I say this because my brother is the exact same way. Except my brother is married to his identical so in the one time that I caught him say "you'll probably want to divorce me in a year" his need for the kind of verbal reassurance was not met by his wife who being the identical type has the same concern so she remained quiet without knowing what to say at that very moment. This is what makes duality complete and special.
