Default How old are your oldest wearables?

I have a perfectly wearable pair of Quiksilver trousers and a woolen sweater of the same brand which looks like it was bought last year, both gotten 12-13 years ago.

And I still have my Lands' End slip-on shoes from 2003, almost worn out, but still feel and look so damn good.

    hmmm....

Are you LSI or SLI? Been reading some back threads and it is ambiguous.

Old clothes can get comfortable, like a leather couch is only good if it's soft and worn in or flannel if it's washed a lot. But other than that, it's mainly ratty. I have to think what my oldest wearable is...

I have a thrift shop flapper dress from the 20s. Dry cleaned it like 5 times before I wore it. I got it for Halloween but have worn it to dinner.

The oldest would be some jewelry pieces my grandfather made, which my mother passed to me. I estimate the oldest around 60 years old.

Of wearables that I purchased, it would be a pair of Sorel boots. They lasted the longest while still being amazingly comfortable and warm in the most brutal cold weather. I hated to throw them out when they finally wore.

Had them from 1991 until 2009.

I still wear shirts from elementary school, about 14 years ago. A sweater I still wear from about 15 years ago was a hand-me-down already, so I don't know how old that is.
I have a couple of shirts from when my mom was in college. Those are quite old. They're getting worn, especially the one that was my favorite shirt in middle school. I also have a shirt that was my dad's from college, but I don't know which is older since my dad is older than my mom but went to college later.
I'd say my oldest wearables are about thirty years old...I don't have any antique hairpins.

hmm... my oldest would be probably a sweater that my grandmother made... I think I've had it for at least 17 years...
with things I bought, last year I finally disposed of a Tshirt I got also about 16 years before at the time (it still was nice, very good quality but got permanently stained and it sealed its fate)

basically I sometimes find sth that ends up being my "favourite" and if it's good quality then I'll keep it for years (not necessarily wear it all the time after the initial "fascination" phase, lol)
and some things (like that sweater I first mentioned) I keep due to the sentiment (grandma passed away years ago and she handmade it) and the fact they are nice and I use them from time to time is nice too (I go skating in it, it's the warmest non-jacket clothing I own)

I have a green velvet skirt from from nearly eighteen years ago. Still my favorite, except it's over the knee. Wait, my skirt can legally drink. Now I feel old.

sometimes i use my mum's clothes but in belgium there are some kewl second-hand,vintage shops that i visit from time to time. however a few days ago i read that such items carry the energy of their previous owner and that was kinda freaky =/ but whatever i guess. the last things i bought are a beige marimekko cotton dress that gives me a nanny edge and a trench, both from the finnish 80s/90s or so ,unf

I used to self-type SLI, until one day a group of mean deltas chased me out of their quadra and Iris was kind enough to adopt me in hers. It went something like this: .

I have a dress from the 80's that my mother gave to me, which I first wore in the 90's.

Now this is a story all about how, my type got changed, turned upside down. Just wait for a minute and watch chatbox right there, & I'll tell how Gem became the moderator with blue hair.

In typology central friended and praised, on the picture thread was where she spent most her days. Chilling out, selfies, relaxing all cool, And all typing some people and getting them schooled.

When a couple of girls who were up to no good, Started annoying her & her friends in the forumhood, She got in one little flame war & got pissed off & said 'I'm moving in with that exboyfriend in the forum with the socionics toffs.

So Gem pulls up to the forum for a year without being a hater, And yells to typocentral 'Yo creeps! Smell Ya later', Became a mod in her kingdom she was finally there, To sit on her throne as the mod with blue hair.
