    Default Does anyone here cook paleo? Like mainly fruits / veges

    I've been cooking with my family recently. We're doing a paleo type diet. All raw ingredients. I've got like 4 recipes. Chicken soup, Stir fry with shrimp, Gaspacho, mushroom cabbage stew. And then I can make fried bananas and fried apples. But I need some more recipes!
    Similar recipes.. mostly fruit or vegetable, with some light meat like seafood or turkey or chicken...no red meat. Not spicy either, but I use a ton of garlic and ginger.

    Anyone know some good ones for me to try?

    Why are you eating chickens? Those were domesticated well after the paleolithic afaik.

    I don't see what domestication has to do with the paleolithic diet.

    Domestication has everything to do with not eating food that didn't exist before the discovery of domestication.

    palaeolithic apples and bananas probably contained a shit load of seeds as well and wouldn't be particularly enjoyable. eating raw eggs and bone marrow is the way to go.

    I did Paleo. Now I am a vegetarian. The best recipes I found were from this site: http://paleomg.com/

    Also, here are some "low carbohydrate" (not really, but most are grain-free which jives with Paleo) vegetarian recipes: http://www.pinterest.com/websitedesi...arian-recipes/

    I had jungle fowl when my family went to Bangladesh when I was a kid. It was smaller and had less meat than domesticated chicken, but tasted so much better, almost sweet. I still remember how disappointed I was when we came back here and the chicken was tasteless or unpleasantly gamey.
    "How could we forget those ancient myths that stand at the beginning of all races, the myths about dragons that at the last moment are transformed into princesses? Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love."

    I grate cauliflower and saute it with onion and a little bit of chicken broth to make "rice." I like to make arroz con pollo with it. Or rice pilaf made with fat free sour cream and peas. Can't remember if dairy is on that diet.
    @rat1 Why paleo?
    You seek a great fortune, you three who are now in chains. You will find a fortune, though it will not be the one you seek.
    But first you must travel a long and difficult road, a road fraught with peril.
    You shall see things, wonderful to tell. You shall see a... cow... on the roof of a cotton house. And, oh, so many startlements.
    I cannot tell you how long this road shall be, but fear not the ob-stacles in your path, for fate has vouchsafed your reward.
    Though the road may wind, yea, your hearts grow weary, still shall ye follow them, even unto your salvation
