I relate to you prejudging things. Although I think when people do this it's just to protect ourselves. Nobody wants to feel like they are not in control and that they are trolled and overly vulnerable... which can happen. The possibility an experience will be horrible and you will leave the experience broken and bruised with tears on your face... is very real.

This is just the ultimate test of God though. Uncomfortable things happen to all of us, but if we can ride with the uncertainty for a little while- we come back out of it on the next plane of existance. There's nothing to do or try other than 'stick it out.' It's a constant test, and it just keeps happening. So keep your head in there and don't stop living your life just because the egotistical part of your brain can't control every little outcome.

Not even the most skilled gaslighters and sadists can have that much control. It happens to them too!
