Personally I don't have anything that has enough cultural weigh that I could pass it on to my offspring in the form of tattoos (like some Maoris) but they could have piercings if they'd want.

Being able to pass something on like the Maori would be cool.
Of course I wouldnt tattoo my kids, it would look weird when they grow older.
