Why are the information elements out of logical order?
Why aren't the functions in sequntial order? I am an IEI, so why do I write them like the left colum and not the right?

is it just because they wanted a checker board?
the function order isn't about "strength" the way it is in mbti. Its about how its treated and when its used in what circumstances. wikisocion has a link that talks about the specific imporance of each position of each function.

Maybe you misunderstood my questions. I know all about how all the functions relate to each other, I was just curious about the order they were placed in the chart, it seems a little confusing. I just wanted to know why the EGO and ID are read left to right (1,2 and 7,8) and the SUPER EGO and SUPER ID are read backwards (4,3 and 6,5). Does that make sense?Originally Posted by DJ Arendee

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent.
