    omg LOL
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I didn't understand it the first time when I watched it, but the YouTube comments helped me to get it.
Especially this comment desribes the effect this speech has on the election:

They really found a bunch of people who are worse than Obama for presidential election. Kudos!

If you watch his face when he says that it seems like a genuine
stumble in speech. Sure it may be a "freudian slip" but consciously
it was unintentional. He may also really feel that way. Racism is
years of conditioning and difficult to overcome at times. Especially
when you've been raised in an environment that has encouraged it.
And I'm not a Rick Santorum fan. Just my two cents.

    The race is already over.

The only reason Romney is getting endorsements is because the conservatives perceive that Gingrich, Paul, and Santorum are not only unelectable to the presidency, but also toxic to the re-election chances of everyone associated with them! (unless it's the deep South but hey, Dixiecrats!) They all know it's a huge waste of time. But, that's politics!

The ironic thing is that New England Republicans who have ties to Paul probably have a better chance of getting elected.

There could be a game changer: Romney could tap Paul as veep and that would really throw the race into question. But Romney's probably too politically inastute to do that.

Speaking of which, I wonder WHO will get GOP veep this time?

Why the fuck can't anyone see that Ron Paul is the only one who can beat Obama. This just baffles me completely. He will bring out people who otherwise would never vote, has overwhelming bipartisan support, and is the only one who is going to draw traditional "American liberals" away from Obama. FOOLS.

looks blatantly intentional, but i'm not sure what the plan behind it is. maybe he is being paid to make himself look bad like Perry and Cain were.

its like one of those corny old prizefighter movies; "you're going down in the n'th round."

its dead obvious that Wall Street wants Obama vs. Romney.

Honestly, I couldn't tell. Almost seemed like it might be intentional, simply because he didn't look embarrassed AT ALL after it happened, nor flustered! I don't know what to make of it. If I were more of a conspiracy theorist, I might actually think he's being pushed forward intentionally so that Obama can win. This is just too crazy.

i wasn't, and i'm appalled that another possibility is even being entertained here. when you're engaged in a multi million dollar organization you don't leave anything to chance. and you don't suddenly drop the ball when it comes down to writing and practicing for speeches.

the kind of candid stuff that happened to Cain and Perry could still be argued to be real slip-ups, but this took place in an entirely different context. there is no reason to be out of control of what you say during a speech of this kind.

Either purposely done to attract the racists in the party while being able to deny he said anything racist or some part of a conspiracy. If the former hopefully it was a miscalculation.
