Using Socionics to win

Socionics is a marvelous tool for scoring petty victories in social situations.

These are the gist of some things I've said to representatives of various types, with the intent of deliberately applying Socionics to hit their weak spots, which makes me evil according to nifflol.


To ILI:

"Boohoo." (More of an Se thing, but it works.)


To ILE:

"You're annoying me. I don't care if you think I'm being stupid. I don't have to justify how I feel to you, and I don't have to act a certain way just because you think it makes sense. Maybe you should learn how to not be an asshole, and then people might like you and want to listen to what you say to them. Now leave me alone."

To SLI:

"You're embarrassing and awkward."


To SEI / IEI:

"Maybe you should consider if what you're saying actually makes sense in reality and not just in lala land."


To EII / LII:

"Stop whining and do something. You're just sitting there like a coward."


To EIE:

"Sounds cool. Now go away, I'm trying to eat."


To LIE:

"That's interesting, but I find that I can just go through my day and not worry about it. I don't like to tire myself out making a fuss over something like a child." (It wasn't so literal, but I forget how I said it.)

I was going to include ILIs, but my tactic for them has more to do with Se. I basically say "Boohoo" and they get all flustered.

Lol I'm not acting tough, the thing you fail to realize is that I'm not necessarily trying to "harm an opponent or show them who is dominant"... but if I were, yes I would use a gun.... and it doesn't require toughness to do, their have been plenty of shooters which possessed ordinary and unimpressive physical and mental stamina/strength.

So you need to stop telling other people what they are and how they should act, thank you very much.

Besides I am just saying, I have more respect for people who don't psychologically manipulate people and learn how to get under their skin, I respect people who instead just clear the air. But I just looked and well I see that its funny cause you used what discojoe said in his description. What I find funny though is that many people tend to type me as something other than ENTp which means if I get offended, that either discojoe's list is incorrect, or those other people's typings are incorrect. Not everyone can be right, as there is so much inconsistent bullshit out there, you have to be careful with what you consider to be valid and not or else you'll catch someone elses stupidity.

These can only work if the person believes you're serious and know what you're talking about. If they have reason to think you're bluffing, faking, or aren't as competent as they are, then they won't work. A lot of things can be trained, including responses to criticism. Just look at professional politicians. They turn it into an art.

Hm.

I think you can use socionics to win. But more via ingratiating yourself to others. And avoiding behaviors you know will frustrate them. But then, you can usually do that just as well by just paying attention to people and what they react well to and what they react poorly to.

I mostly use socionics to like deal with NTs and be like, oh, they didn't mean to be that mean, they just don't have good barriers as to what is cruel to say or not as long as it's true, and sorta the same with beta STs. And with alphas you know it helps you forgive ESEs for being emotionally all over the place and trying to mother you, 'cause you know, that's what they do.

And I guess in class it can help you to predict what a teacher will care most about. But again, most of what I get from socionics is a theoretical model to explain what I would naturally do anyway, just from observing people and reacting well to them. Socionics is I think a good example of a Ti reification of something that Fe would mostly figure out anyway. But then the schematic helps you navigate the maze even if you're speaking to the walls. So there's that.
