    Default Krig's Averaged Faces

I tried this a long time ago, when I was first learning socionics, and when Galen and thehotelambush posted their versions, I thought I'd try my hand at it again.

Each face is a mashup of four photos, either of people I know or celebrities I feel confident I have typed correctly. Being the occasionally obsessive perfectionist that I am, I used morphing software and morphed the faces together by hand. I'm quite happy with the results, and they seem fairly readily identifiable as their types, to me.

    Can you guess their types?

    Male A

    Male B

    Male C

    Female D

I hope to continue doing these as time allows. I don't have enough really reliable examples to do a male and female version of each type, but I'll see what I can do.

All I do with these faces is compare them to celebrities. D looks like Kristin Bell, so ESE. E looks like Charles Bronson, so badass motherfucker type.

April, your facial recognition skills are impressive. Here's their types and sources:

Male A: EII. A combination of Jeremy Irons, Jimmy Carter, David Duchovny, and Liam Neeson.
Male B: SLE. A combination of Marlon Brando, Ted Nugent, Josh Holloway (Sawyer on Lost), and Javier Bardem.
Male C: LII. A combination of myself, Currere, Michael Shanks, and David Nykl (the last two are both actors from Stargate).
Female D: ESE. A combination of Kristin Bell, Allison Mack (Chloe from Smallville), Tanith Belbin (a figure skater), and Carla Gallo (Daisy from "Bones").
Male E: LSI. A combination of Charles Bronson, Dr. Phil, Adam Baldwin, and an LSI systems administrator that I know.
Male F: SLI. A combination of Wayne Gretzky, Kevin Costner, Chuck Norris, and my SLI brother.

Looks like the ESE was the most obvious, followed by the LII (I looked up that Chuck Loeb guy, Parkster, and I would not be surprised if he was LII himself, which is fascinating and lends credibility to what I'm doing). The SLE was the only other one that anyone guessed correctly (laghlagh).

I purposely made the last two to compare and contrast between LSI and SLI, which has been a problematic distinction in the past on this board. I thought the mustache might be a dead giveaway for the LSI, but I guess not.

Anyway, now that you know what types these faces are supposed to be, do they match up with your personal mental images of the types?

I don't like the SLI face. It looks more victim-y, kinda like a Gamma NT or something. Strong Te subtype IXTp at best.

And yes, I (used to) type Loeb LII.

While I think Jeremy Irons and Liam Neeson are great choices for EII, Male A gives off Alpha NT vibes for some reason. Maybe it's that David Duchovny dude...

Male B looks like an ESTp-ENFj mutant.
    Female D
is perfectly fine for ESFj. Fe subtype.
Male E is okay I guess.

Here are some more. If you don't want to guess, I've left the file names this time. I'll post the names of the sources later.

The guy on the bottom left is actually a specific subtype of a type, assuming I've typed all the source images correctly.

This is pretty cool. Is there a page somewhere that has the composites of all 16 types, both male and female?

We should make a special app for forum members to add their faces to a type composite that is made from ONLY our forum members.

The problem with this sort of thing is that its usefulness depends entirely upon the creator's skill at diagnosing types. Too many incorrectly typed faces in the mix, and all that hard work becomes pointless.

And since everybody types everybody else differently, the usefulness of typing anybody in the first place is a bigger issue.

It's not like it's a random distribution. Some people are good at it, others aren't. And still others use an alternate theory with different assumptions and results entirely.

Ah, but back then I still had hope that this forum could be used for productive discussion of socionics. You hadn't quite driven off everyone who knows what they're talking about, back then. That sarcasm and condescension sure is an effective replacement for thoughtful and reasonable discussion, isn't it?

Why not add full body shots? One of the easiest ways for me to tell rational/irrational is often posture and better still the way they move.
