Have you ever met an IEI who's not an E4? What other enneagram types are possible/likely for IEI's?

    I'm a 6.

    4, 6, or 9. Even some 1s or 2s or 5s. It's not really all that correlated.

E9 seems possible? E6... idk. I'm not doubting you, but I've had bad experiences with Fi valuing E6's, and I'm not sure what a Fe valuing E6 would even look like.

I can sort of see an E5 IEI, but at the same time I'd feel like they just need to be helped out of their shell. IEI E1 or E2? That sounds even more like neurosis. I could sort of see an E3 IEI though, as odd as an E3 IP sounds. But at the same time, maybe they'd just need to calm down.

I guess to me the E4/IEI combination is one of the strongest of the Socionics/Enneagram correlations. It's right up there with E5/INTx and E9/Si dominant.

There are E6 ESEs and EIEs.

I could totally see that. Weak and scary all in one pretty package. But whatever.

It's not really all that odd. People just don't follow neat patterns like that. A 3 infp doesn't really sound that odd at all. Some 3s get mistyped as 4s cause both types tend to be overly-focused on identity and image. And when unhealthy, both 3s and 4s suffer from narcissism.

I agree with Gilly pretty much. 1, 7, 8 for an INFp is probably a no-go but I see any other type as plausible with of course some correlations more common then others.

I can easily see an INFp Fe subtype as a 2. Not so much a Ni one though.

Come on IEI 9? How? I think they can appear like 9s but not underneath. 9 isn't that beta.
Why are you trying to connect the dots when the dots can't really be connected? Enneagram and socionics are two very different things.

You just made correlations. Where did your reasoning come from for an IEI being a 9?
    IEI, sp/sx 4w3.

Personally, I feel that you could get confused about Fives and Nines being IEI, but that all types besides Four are basically out of bounds if you have any real life experience. Six I'm in a kind of pendulum state of mind about - I'm not so sure.

Ok, I'm just going to drop the hammer once and for all. The enneatypes I have specifically known IEIs to be, via real life experience, are 3, 4, 6, and 9.

I'm an E5 IEI and have observed others who I suspect could be the same, but who knows. It seems as if most IEIs are 4s.

    My longer-lasting friends are either ILI (a few 9w1s + a 6w5) or LIIs (1w9).

I could see 4w5 as the most likely, 4w3 another common one. 2, 6, and 1 also. The occasional 9s and 3s thrown in the mix.

I think that IEI 4s seem pretty likely. I don't know about the statistics, but I can see how the IEI description mimics aspects of the E4 description. For some reason, I thought that I was IEI, but I am a 1w2. IDK how likely it is for an IEI to be a 1w2, but some people have said that it was incompatible.
