I have read all of the descriptions I can find, done every test I could find.
What do I do when I feel like nothing applies.

Study the IMs. Try to type the people around you. Observe who you interact well with. Read some of the posts from people around here in your quadra. Find out what in general you prefer.
If all this fails... just say you're IEI. It's the catchall type. (and on a serious tip, IEIs are often 4s and 4s are somewhat likely not to think they fit with any of the types because they're so unique...)
Not a rule, just a trend.
IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.
Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...
I am grateful for the mystery of the soul, because without it, there could be no contemplation, except of the mysteries of divinity, which are far more dangerous to get wrong.
Maybe it's just me but you seem very IP; it could be because you are simultaneously observing yourself and evaluating socionics as a whole; your real type, due to ingrained habits and values, you may not know for some time; I tested exclusively INTj and everyone believed me to be INTp when I first arrived; as it turns out I was neither, but ISTj... Who do you identify with? What kinds of things are you usually into? What do you think is important? How do people think you are different? How do you think you are different?
Your type is MUPPET.
Not quite a puppet... not quite a mop...
I still think you are ESI; obviously you are very loyal and have a strong ethic...you are serious, carefree, tactical, decisive, like gamma crowds, sense-feeling/democracy, introverted judging, and you you don't let people push you around; also, just from the way you speak I would guess you are ESI...

I guess you could also be SEI; I think ISFx is pretty obvious
