I'd also guess he seemed ISFp because he seems to be focused on giving specific examples of words/sentences instead of discussion of tips for generally learning the language overall.
There seems to be an attempt at Fe with those expressions there too.
But I don't have a strong argument against INTp, just a hunch he's ISFp.
