Default Combining two things going on at once

What's the function where the person perceives two different things going on at once as the same, just for fun?

A couple of my friends do this. One muted the TV and turned on a song on his computer and was laughing at the TV because of the music that somehow affected the TV program. Another friend, we got out of a movie and he started smiling and dancing because he liked the music, and I asked him what music, and he said stand here, I went in the middle of the hall and stood, and he said "both of these songs together." There were two different movies going on playing different music and he thought that was funny.

Is it more specifically a function position that tends to do this, like creative Si?

Sounds irrational. Other than that I have no strong opinion.
