let's see, Expat, a former wellknown male member of this forum, is a LIE-Te. Once he starts talking he doesn't stop. He dominates the discussion, and shows signs of arrogance, yet makes (rarely) jokes to keep things smooth. He's known for immediately giving a bunch of facts of whatever subject at the time is being discussed.Originally Posted by MasterfulMischief

A female ex of mine LIE-Ni was a stubborn debater, yet always fair and open, never dramatic, never taking things personally. Also the same kind of quick smart jokes as her male counterpart. She usually stays on the phone for about 2 hours per call, which is something to mention I think. When talking about her work, she often described a situation where a colleague or customer had 'challenged her' by saying something irritating, and how she agressively verbally counterattacked her.
LIEs, like all Ni ego types I find, act differently according to whether they trust you or not. If they trust you they are actually quite charming and supportive, if they don't then they may appear cold and chiding. It's important to remember that LIEs tend not to talk about things in detail that they know nothing about. Thus if an LIE is talking about something it should usually be assumed that they've invested time in learning about it. While some people might find an LIE to be arrogant at first, over time you learn that it wasn't arrogance but rather well-founded confidence (the reason it seemed arrogant can be attributed to LIE's weak Fe - they're unaware that they are appearing to be arrogant because they know that they're actually confident about whatever they're talking about). They value the truth and sometimes get into sticky situations by saying something honest and true whilst being unaware of the effect such words can have on another person (i.e. telling a fat person they are fat - not to hurt their feelings but simply because, in all honesty, that person is fat)
In social situations LIEs enjoy wit and other intelligent forms of humor. If they trust you they can be really fun. My LIE friend and I regularly can trade witty insults about each other to each other and not take it personally. Furthermore LIEs take criticism remarkably well - so long as it's true. LIEs respond poorly/negatively to strong-armed stupidity, to people that force them to do things that are not necessary, and to people that seek to dominate them.
Something important to keep in mind is that I've found that different LIEs have their own way of "being nice". As you spend time with the LIE this slowly becomes observable to you. It's not uncommon to look back in time and find that times when you thought were being insulted you were actually being complimented lol

LIEs are the most awesome people EVAR socially. Everything they do is highly efficient and always correct, and socialization is no exception. They are quick to offer helpful information on the important subjects like business, economics, production, politics, or any other awesome subject, and their information is always correct and complete. If someone brings up a stupid idea like being friendly, joking, or having fun, LIEs will helpfully steer discussion back onto a productive topic, like whether food should be rationed based on someone's usefulness in society.
If you are wrong about anything, LIEs will helpfully point this out to you. They do away with unnecessary tact or nicety and will jump in point out just how completely ignorant you are. If an LIE finds an area where you are ignorant, just shut up and listen; you are about to receive one of the most important gifts of all: knowledge. You need not doubt its neutrality or correctness, LIEs know all the correct ways of thinking about EVERYTHING.
Do you have any money? You should give it to the LIE to manage. LIEs can invest your money in the stock market, and follow the charts to find multibaggers and MULTIPLY YOUR INCOME. They are the absolute best at handling money, no one should be allowed to have money except LIEs.
An LIE is a useful addition to any social group, and can be trusted to provide accurate information, manage money, and keep everyone productive and useful. ALL HAIL LIE!
