Really? I found it a very personal, heartfelt "obituary." Instead of just being a list of his brother's life accomplishments, it's presented like a page out of Garrison Keillor's head of all the memories and associations he has of his brother. I think the piece mirrors grief (though that description probably makes no sense to people). Someone's death makes you pause and reflect all the ways they touched your life.This kind of writing puzzles me....

I mean... I sometime end up writing like this.... but... do people actually like this kind of, apparently, out of focus stuff?

This is why I loved the concept of "Speaker for the dead" from Orson Scott Card's book.
Anyway... my puzzlement is related to the likability of this intertwined web of connections. I never thought this is something people would actually enjoy. This is what I do if I just let my self go....
