Default Music That Reaches To Your Soul

I'm not talking about music you like; I'm talking about music you truly fucking love, music you love because it reaches to your very depths and implants something there that remains there after the music has ended. Here's my choice:

Have you heard of Boards of Canada? I've been meaning to get some of their albums for a while.

Here's one that didn't fit on and that I've thought of recently. More relevant a few years ago than now, but I still remember it as my favourite of their albums:

Yes, my favourite album is The Campfire Headphase. Everything I've heard by them I really like, but I highly recommend TCH and the album Geogaddi.

I got some of their music off this piece of software that trawls internet radio stations for artists you select - the stuff from a live album sounded very good.

I listened to some Thievery Corporation on your recommendation and I thought they were alright. And I got that Vangelis soundtrack from when you uploaded it before...that's fantastic. I've only heard some Ulrich Schnauss, so I don't know what to make of him yet.

Faye Wong, Kelly Chan, Most pop artist during the prime of the golden 90's. As well as many various Asian artist in Asia at that time. very smoothing, relaxing, non-hardcore which unfortunely is being replaced by loud and unorganized music which tends to fuck up people's mood more often that not, and funny thing is people are attracted by these loud screaming music.

I like Achtung Baby, but it's too poppy to be masterful like The Unforgettable Fire.

That's a truly great song. I don't remember the sound of the original but here's one of my favorite renditions of it, arranged and performed by Take 6:

“Whether we fall by ambition, blood, or lust, like diamonds we are cut with our own dust.”

    Nice!

Mostly I go through phases with music that are largely dependent on my mood, but there are a few songs that I will always love and can listen to anytime....

    Aqualung - Strange & Beautiful
Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek
    Keane - Sunshine
    Muse - Unintended
    Royksopp - Only this Moment
    Wavorly - A Summer's Song

And probably a few others that don't immediately come to mind. But really... this song is so beautiful.

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

Good song, lame video. The original is much better, especially this version with the speech intro from Eric Adams. He speaks like my dad, well just the expressions and the tone of voice.

...the human race will disappear. Other races will appear and disappear in turn. The sky will become icy and void, pierced by the feeble light of half-dead stars. Which will also disappear. Yeah deff, its just that youtube took down the original vid because of copyright shit.

I freakin love the part where it like breaksdown and he sings about his last words. So cornyyyyyyyyy, but so awesomeeee.

Lastly, I've been listen a lot of shoegaze music: Ride, Lush, Pale Saints, My Bloody Valentine but mostly, Slowdive. New nugaze stuff are cool too, like LSD and the search for god, Amusement parks on fire, the daysleepers and so... it's a really, really mesmerizing music. Give it a try.

Check out Cocteau Twins - especially the album heath mentioned - and Ulrich Schnauss (kind of an amalgamation of nu gaze and dream pop).

You'll probably like Goodbye most if you're into the indie rock (with electronic-touched elements) side of shoegaze, but I'm bigger on the soundscapes of it all, which is best provided by the albums Far Away Trains Passing By and A Strangely Isolated Place, both of which have a more electronic sound to them than the former album.

Yeah it's lame. Actually my account name was named after Manowar video Return of the Warlord, because I was watching it when I made this account. But I couldn't find a single copy of that video in youtube now.

it has that feel good vibe to it kind of like everytime i hear "ooh child" or old rocksteady songs like .
