Betas have a tendecy to think they are special people, but in reality they are just sheep in a flock. There is no quadra more deluded in their self-concepts than the beta quadra.

It's sad how true of me this is in a way.

For one, social acceptance is a natural human need. People need to feel accepted to feel validated, to have platonic human contact in order to discharge emotions and share ideas. Evolutionarily it's the "pack instinct": stick together in order to increase chances for survival. Now obviously we don't need to band together to survive in the modern world, but the instinct is still there because physical evolution takes a long ass time. Therefore humans are collectivist by nature, not personality type.

As per Winterpark, just from his short description: Most people who describe themselves as perfectionists are Si demonstrative ESIs and LSIs, who really care about everything being perfect. A SLI would only acknowledge a life of unfulfilled desires when really drunk. Similarly, neither high ideals nor burning passions are reminiscent of SLI or LSE. Winterpark is going for the dramatic in a good part of this quote (kind of cheap and outdated, but otherwise not bad), which would be strange for a SLI spilling his guts. Otherwise, thinking actions out in advance does not sound like something of the IP temperament.

Cutting away personal ties is horrible for a Delta; it is easy and natural for a Beta, if the Beta feels no unity among the members of the group.

Newsflash for all those who have no information on what they are talking about:

For an event to be called a revolution, violence, usually from both sides, is a key characteristic. "Nonviolent revolution" is an oxymoron and an impossibility, since all such "revolutions" are better defined by other terms like "social demonstration", "civil protest", etc. Most real revolutions have organized violence, to the point that those that fail generally lack an effective use of force.

This should be obvious with the concept of the "freedom fighter". An "authentic freedom fighter" does not exist and Che was as close as you can get to him because he attracted people with his charisma. There are very few rebels and revolutionaries outside of Beta, and those mostly have an undeserved title. I, in fact, have no idea what you even mean by a non-Beta, authentic freedom fighter.

Heh, well, I got bullied a lot as a kid, and I've felt the effects of doing it to others as well, so personally I've experienced the full range of consequences for people not treating each other decently. I can be pretty rough when it comes to verbal sparring, but making evaluations of people is a whole different ball game.
