Gamma Rational Wedding Gift

My friends are getting married on the weekend and they're a Gamma Rational couple (LIE m and ESI f) -- I'm completely stuck as to what to get them/what they might like. We're all students, so the budget is understandably limited and they don't have a wedding registry either.

Well, if they're just starting out after college, you could always get them an assortment of useful kitchenware - dish towels, spoons, spatulas, cutting board, etc. and put them in a cute little bread basket with a fancy ribbon. That's something that anybody can use. Most people I know tend to get multiples of appliances or a lot of fancy serving ware that they never use and then complain about owning it (unless they love to throw parties - and if your friends do, then perhaps that's a good gift - a simple, white oval platter goes with just about anything and always looks good on the table)

Everyone also seems to love giving barware, but they never seem to realize that everyone else is giving barware too...

A gift card probably is the best bet, though, especially if they have families who will probably give them tons of random stuff.

I don't know how wedding gifts work. I'm better at personal gifts, that I could personalize to each person or even make a joke out of it.
