Static types and teasing mates

I noticed that Static types (EP's and IJ's) were more inclined to tease their mates. For example, a SEE who plays hard to get in order to attract an ILI ; or a LSI who reveals himself very progressively to his EIE dual, in order to make some intrigue or such.

In dual couples, the Static partner is always the "player". (Gulenko actually never needed to explain it uncleanly)

I'll tease you if I like you and know I can get away with it cause of your big heart, but pretty rarely.

In the end though, teasing others (no matter what the precise definition is) is inherently hollow because you know when somebody says "You're just a big tease." By its very nature, teasing goes nowhere for all parties and doesn't accomplish a coherent task. That's why in Southpark, Cartman was shown to have a shitty job he doesn't like... because he spent his whole life teasing others and destroying any meaningful relationships he could have had. It was actually quite profound. All the time when you're the teaser, since it feels so good and is kind of naughty, you can fool yourself for the long-term consequences.

This might be my 8th function talking here or something, but hey. I understand this effortlessly on a subconscious level if people would just listen to me. *g* See, I teased. But it doesn't really add or take anyway thing to the substance of a conversation. It's empty.

So when somebody is all 'Oh I'm just joking/prodding people because I can get away with it, no harm done people shouldn't be so damn SENSITIVE! I'm a big tough top and you're not HA!' it usually turns around and bites them in the ass in the longest run. And well, I should know, I tease people a lot. I don't lose anything from doing so, but I don't gain anything either.

I don't mean it's a bad thing though, just empty without other stuff. You can make a career out of teasing others (comedians) but these people also are natural Humanitarians in the psychological wheel or something, and do productive tasks to help the sick/poor/downtrodden as well. In fact, that's really the only thing you *can* do with a liberal arts degree. lol

Anyways my basic point if you really wanted to give the other person a use so you could use them for your nefarious world-domination schemes (we all have them) instead of teasing, you'd find a way to relate to them on their level. This is what true leaders/charismatics do.

I haven't noticed much correlation between static and teasing. Maybe it's between static-positivism-process, since both LSI and SEE pertain to this group.

oh nah, I don't think teasing is type-related. I know loads of IEIs and SEIs who tease the heck out of people.
