    i think you're on to something five.

    preference for action over talk (Se>Ne)

    preference for the embeddedness of spirituality vs potentially hypocritical behavior (Ti>Te).

    kind of a paradox though. since going to church is taking action to express one's spirituality. that's the way i look at it anyway. if i don't go to church i lose my spiritual edge.

    funny that going to church might be an "action" of one's love.. but of course you already stipulated that there would be a condition that they did not have a commitment other than going to the physical place.

    I don't see it as a paradox. Many people don't go to church to express their spirituality, there's other reasons i.e. to avoid social repurcussions (especially if all their friends go to church), political (religious people are more quickly to identify regular church-goers as trustworthy) etc.
