From the MLK jr. article on Wikipedia, a direct quote from Dr. King:

“Since being in India, I am more convinced than ever before that the method of nonviolent resistance is the most potent weapon available to oppressed people in their struggle for justice and human dignity. In a real sense, Mahatma Gandhi embodied in his life certain universal principles that are inherent in the moral structure of the universe, and these principles are as inescapable as the law of gravitation.” [1]

What elements are being discussed here? What are their signs?

I was hoping hitta would respond. He's better at picking out the +/- aspects of the elements; MLK's he should be especially capable of, in my opinion.

From the quotes in that article, and the context offered by the article itself, I get the impression MLK believed Ti to be basically holy and eternal, the basis for a universal code of justice of sorts. (Interestingly Bethoveen, another ENFj, believed the same) He seems highly opposed to -Te/+Ti (division on the pretext of what may be constructive, "necessary divisions"), seemingly equating it to the devil.

There does seem to be a connection between one's dual function and all that is "holy" and "true" and "good". Perhaps such concepts as "holy" and "goodness" arise from using one's dual function to observe a plurality of aspects simultaneously, thus perceiving them seemingly everyhwere. In such a way one finds something "holy" and "redeeming" in just about everything.

Surely it is evolutionarily consistent to equate goodness and truth with that which is directly helpful to oneself, because it means that the triumph of that very goodness and truth raises one's prospects for survival.

I've always thought MLK to be a +Ne/-Ni person. I'm gonna say ENTp, although I think Ghandi was INFp.
