I got the impression Megatron/Galvatron is ISTj. He's definitely got the , that's for sure.

I could believe ESTj for Optimus.

That entire film was so Gamma. Every
important character was in gamma except the baddies because baddies
don't have souls(SeFi). All the good guys stuck together and when they
split up there was always a ' I CAN'T LEAVE MY BUDDY BEHIND!!!'
situation going on. The good bots had rude, loud and tough( I'm not using right word here) humour.

The only possible ESFj/ESTj was the guy with the blue hummer. The main character = ENTj and his girlfriend some gamma SF. Optimus was all ISFj - all that talk about sacrific and defeating evil reaks of Fi.

Ontop of that the way the film was put togethter was very simular to the way Tarintino puts his films together (speech seems overly realisic or cheeky, music doesn't fade into the atmosphere of the film well, only the action scenes where any good, romantic/relationships scenes where sappy and puky), so I'm guess we have a ENTj director.

I was a bit hesitant with Soundwave, but since he seems to "get along" better than any other Decepticon with Megatron, I thought that there must be a reason. In many ways, Soundwave is like Shockwave in their behavior. And while there is a certain element of Soundwave being an INTp (perhaps as an exertion), his ability to read the mood and atmosphere () has kept him from ever getting on any other Decepticon's bad side even during volatile power struggles. I will not object to Soundwave being INTp if that is the case, but that was my reasoning for at least initially typing him as ENFj.

BTW, which movie are you talking about? Transformers the Movie (1986) or Transformers: The Movie (2007)?

Because there are still the second cast of popular Transformers to type from Transformers the Movie, but I will do those later perhaps. :wink:

The reverse of that is seen with the Autobots, where everyone respects and obeys Optimus Prime and moreover, are apparently helpless without him.

Not entirely true. There are power divides and struggles. While I suppose the idea that the strongest rules the Decepticons is true, at the same time that does not mean that the less strong are complacent with it. Shockwave in the comics overthrew Megatron and then disabled most of the Autobots on Earth (Megatron came back, BTW). So there is the vying power struggle between Megatron, Shockwave, Starscream, and to a much lesser extent Soundwave, who has a tendency to play all sides. With Optimus Prime and the Autobots, while there is one Prime, there have also been factions, sub-leaders, and such even when Prime is not present. In the UK comics, Grimlock, Prowl (the technical 2nd-in-command), and Ultra Magnus have been the leaders of the Autobots at some point even whenever Prime was MIA, disabled, or dead.
