    Default ESTp uncovered profile

    http://www.socionics.com/prof/estp2.htm

This is not even remotely close to a male estp, infact I would believe the other person to be an estp rather than the once described. Maybe it's different for females, but if it is there are drastic difference between male and female estp's!

    bwahahahah...

actually, that sounds a bit more like my wife at times ("believe" she's ISFj) when she's feeling ultra-senstive. It has to do with tending to hold emotions within themselves until something small like this triggers it and they all come gushing out. I really don't think that sounds very ESTp-ish either, but don't listen to me.

No, but the fact it's from http://www.socionics.com/ is dissapointing that they gave increadibly inaccurate or exaggerated description.

Yeah. That guy freaks me out. So much people view socionics.com as authority and they believe the stuff on the site much. He is biased mostly about INFps. Maybe some INFp chick has ruined his sensitive emotions in school.

Some ESTp girls I know are like that but noone to THAT degree. This article is mostly for fun.

I thought the INFp description was pretty accurate for me but yeah he was a bit over-the-edge nasty.

No (at least we don't think he is ). Actually, I was talking about what he is like when he was with his girlfriend. I don't know if all SLEs are like this, but have you ever been in a relationship?

    Example of SLE guy:

-Are you going away for a week because you don't want to see me?
-No, I just have to go because my parents are bringing me.
-You're mad at me, aren't you?
-No! I just have to go. I don't have a choice...
    -Are you upset with me?
    -No...
-You want to break up with me, don't you?
    -It's not that...
-If you weren't mad with me, then why do you want to spend time away from me?
    -I don't know.
-You're going to leave me, aren't you?
-Yeah, maybe I'll start dating Rocky... (j/k )

LOL ROFL! I have herpes dude. Although, I haven't actually been involved in a relationship in about 5 months. I tend not to stay with women too long for a few reasons. I am still very immature, I handle my responsibilities well (ex:school payments, family, my health) but I still have alot of kid in me. I am very free-spirited so being tied down is alot of trouble sometimes. I just don't feel like taking a quiz when I get home, you know? But in truth I am a hopeless hopeless romatic.
Anyway, I believe all women except my mom are conniving bitches until they prove me wrong. THIS IS VERY MUCH A JOKE PLEASE NO HATE MAIL!

There is a descrepancy with this, the ESTp male would know if they were lying and wouldn't keep asking. It's not just tone of voice or body language, we know for some reason, it's like you know when you are hungry well we know if someone is telling the truth. But this may be only with me.

Wait, what you are describing sounds more like an ESFP (SEE).

And what I wrote is pretty much a paraphrase of a discussion that I heard between one SLE and his girlfriend (so it's not just made up or a generalization).

EDIT: I'd like to mention that a lot of SEE men are more masculine than SLEs.

No, it's completely possible. But I think trying to describe something like how a conversation goes between two people is very very hard to do. People are all different, I mean same personality types have things in common, but individually we are all very weird in our own way. We still have our things we all do.

I meant the way you were saying how you just "know" when people are telling the truth, how people fell, etc... that is the Fi function. SEEs (Sensory-ethical Extratim) have a strong Fi, where as SLEs have a weak Fi. That is why SLEs are stereotyped to ask things like Sergie Ganin and I wrote. They DON'T know, so they have to be sure, which is why they ask, over and over again.

When an SLE/ESTp knows someone they THINK logically about what they know of them. In turn, allows them to make an exact prediction on what they are going to do base on previous RESULTS. So when they get this feeling like they KNOW they actually do. In this type of conversation when you know the reciever.

    ESTp uncovered

    A female ESTp comes home...

    - Hey, darling, I'm home!
    - Cool!
    - Don't you want to come and give me a kiss?
    - Yeah, in a minute!
    - Is something wrong?
    - No, nothing's wrong!
    - Are you not happy to see me?
    - Of course I am happy to see you!
    - So why don't you want to come then?
    - I do, let me just finish something first!
    - Is it more important to you than me?
    - Oh, please, don't start!
    - You don't love me, I know!
    - Of course I do, don't be silly!
    - If you loved me, you wouldn't do this to me!
    - Do what?
    - This!
    - Just because I can't drop everything right this second, I don't love you?
    - Not this!
    - Then what?
    - You don't want me anymore!
    - What? Where does this come from?
    - You should know better!
    - Give me at least a hint!
    - See? Now you are mad at me too! You hate me!
    - I am not mad at you and I don't hate you! Now stop it!
    - And you don't love me either!
    - I love you, I love you, I love you! How many more times I have to say this?
    - You don't mean it!
    - I love you and I mean it! Now stop this nonsense, I have had enough of it!
    - Maybe you have had enough of me too?
    - Maybe...

Female ESTp breaks down in tears...

    well I'm offended...

Because males think that, but society imposes us to look strong, and therefore we aren't going to state it so openly.

Can you imagine a male estp being taken seriously after that tirade? A girl, instead, can totally get away with that.

With males the paranoia comes up in subtler ways, more like ->

Daniel does that (minus the tears).
Its more like he wants my attention at all times no matter what and if I seriously won't give it to him, he becomes paranoid.

    LOL yeah

They don't really seem to SAY it, but they are still telling with their eyes that they don't think you are giving them enough attention.

I didn't realize this was posted here, and already typed something about so I guess I'll repeat a little.

When my ESTp does this, I end up getting angry. I say, "I'm sick you using guilt trips to get more attention, when I'm already giving you plenty." Maybe with an added, "You already know how I feel about you *incert something really nice*" If i'm not TOO angry.

He usually folds after I get angry, and says something like, "I just wanted you is all. *incert pouty face*"

I think the female thing is bullshit too, because males do the same thing, except obviously some do it with facial expressions and body language. And any female ESTp could do the same thing.

Sounds kinda weird like an ESTP with really low self esteem. Kinda annoying. The one thing I admire about ESTPs is their ability to hide their vulnerable side in a way that most people can't and be all manly and tough even though on the inside, there's turmoil. *drools*

Female ESTp breaks down in tears...
It seems like the relationship had been going downhill for a long time up to that point. Most ESTps I know do not expose their gaping hidden agenda like that. Now, if "my" ESTp DID do that, I'd be all over her with squeezing and kissing followed immediately by a big smack upside the head for acting like a dumbshit.
"How could we forget those ancient myths that stand at the beginning of all races, the myths about dragons that at the last moment are transformed into princesses? Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love."

thanks to this thread, I realized that my brother in law is ESTp

now that I think about it, it makes perfect sense... it hadn't crossed my mind before because he's SO ridiculously emotional and irrational and illogical and... you get the idea... but he's got some brain problems that explain those things

    - Maybe...

Female ESTp breaks down in tears...

    well I'm offended...

why is it a female ESTp?
Why is it an ESTp at all? This is a description of an insecure person, not someone with an Fe hidden agenda. It sounds like someone thought "Hmm, the over-simplified catchphrase for the ESTp hidden agenda is 'to be loved,' so a good example of that must be someone who is obsessively demanding to be told he/she is loved!'" Which is bs, and a strong indication of the lack of insight of whomever thought this exemplified the ESTp HA.

Apparently not. Most of the previous posts seemed to accept that this describes ESTps. Which is possible in that it describes an insecure person, and insecure people can be ESTps. But insecure people can be other types as well. Specifically attributing this behavior to ESTps is a misinformed and overly simplistic interpretation of the Fe HA.

I accepted the underlying notion. The "to be loved" stuff. I said in my experience, ESTp's do do that, except they don't SAY those things. You just know they are feeling that way and they do their own version of pouting, because they try to disguise pouting so as not to seem childish/weak etc.

My ex-wife did this a lot back when she was ESTp. She used to veil these outbursts as attacks and she used to be slightly better at it than the person described but basically it was the same thing.

Come to think of it, that applies to other ways they try to fuck with you as well. I have serious trouble fathoming how works the mind of a person who is utterly amazed to a near catatonic state when I won't sign a contract causing me financial harm to the amount of 60 000 canadian dollars (to his benefit).
