    Default Don Quixote

I'll admit haven't actually read the book, but from what I've heard, the character Don Quixote is someone obsessed with chivalry, who thinks he's a knight performing heroic deeds for his lady.

I understand why the idea of someone acting out his fantasies might symbolize ILE. But as far as the character himself, doesn't the picture overall seem more NF-ish, possibly IEE? It seems that Fi rather Ti seems most relevant to his moral quest...his view of himself as rescuing others, etc.

    ENFp? Perhaps
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.

~an extraverted consciousness is unable to believe in invisible forces.
~a certain mysterious power that may prove terribly fascinating to the extraverted man, for it touches his unconscious.

i had to read it for my spanish literature class this year, and to be honest i found myself questioning the perception of quijote as ILE as well. i will not claim to have understood every nuance of the language, but i didn't really see the Ne childishness and absurdity that might be expected from the character (such was the nature of the book, definitely, which might be the cause of the perception). rather, quijote seemed mostly deranged and unable to tell fact from fantasy but not really that much EP.

idk, perhaps there were more subtle hints that he had some idea of the idiocy of his situation that i didn't pick up on.

Yeah I re-read it after I posted and saw he said he doesn't think he's actually ENTp. *yawn* I need more coffee.

Sancho Panza? I remember reading about it, in my Spanish lessons, if it's the same story. Don Quijote?

Ewww God, you just used "'twas" in a real sentence. You're officially a Ti type
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

    It all makes sense now.
