    ISFj. Why?

Here are some obvious clues --

    - irrational, not rational
    - Si > Se and Ne> Ni

These are very consistent throughout the series.

So he can only be ENTp, ISFp, ENFp, ISTp.

Since he's not very consistent logically and does not seem to care whether things around him are working properly or not, we can eliminate ENTp and ISTp.

So he's ISFp or ENFp, in fact, he shifts between these two types.

IEE is my strong opinion. I don't see him as an introvert in any way, and he seems to having weak sensing all over the place, if you ask me. He's got the IEE "daddy" image going on too, if you ask me; Lisa certainly seems to appreciate his more than anything he shows in the way of .

Think of him as the ethical Peter Griffin (ILE ftw)
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I think the Simpsons is very Gammma show anyway.

Perhaps we should have a Cartoon Sitcoms typing thread then?

Who cares about The Simpsons. They're making new episodes of Futurama, FINALLY.

Bender is my hero. Zoidberg's voice make me doubt my independance from diapers.

Well, the thing is, I think that overall, on a "daily" basis, she shows a clear IP temperament; when he gets into specific situations he shows more of an EP temperament. But perhaps, yeah, of the two ENFp makes the most sense, except that he seems to have, broadly, more Alpha than Delta motivations.

I'll agree with more Alpha motivations, but his behavior certainly seems more IEE than ILE, IMO; Ne subtype, either way.

Actually, that would be Expat. I think Homer is more likely IEE: Peter Griffin (ILE) with Fi.

I agree. Homer is a big child who is always getting into trouble and needs someone who's very motherly/caring to fix it all his dilemnas. Homer = Big Ideas with no practicality. The humor in the show is that he actually runs with them whereas Ne usually just daydreams such situations because they are usually impossible. Television is wonderful!

Homer works in a power plant where the utmost care and attention is required and he is always blowing it. I wouldn't hire an Ne-dominant to monitor a power plant.

Homer even communicates like an Infantile in the movie when he says something about how he runs around all day and does whatever but at night he comes home to lie with Marge. She gives him comfort, and a warm home.

but it is a cartoon and the characters aren't static.

That was nothing more than emotional manipulation. He said it so she'd forgive him.
