I doubt that I would have seen it, because I never spent much time thinking about people or their personalities before socionics. Those who saw the types most clearly were those dealing with people, talking to them, helping them sort out their problems in a clinical setting - from my understanding, Jung developed the idea after meeting with many different patients, and Augusta also saw how his work applied only because she was dealing with patients. So, the hypothesis of socionics types followed from close observation of a lot of different people, noticing the patterns that appeared. Not a lot of people spend their days talking to and observing people, but those who do might come up with similar classifications and systems as well.

yeah socionics opened my eyes to a lot; meanwhile I met a guy after I learned socionics, and he has never been exposed to it, and yet he follows perfectly and comes to many conclusions independently of me that are very much in keeping with a deep understanding of socionics; is ILI as far as I can tell
I never talk about it directly with him (i.e.: make explicit the underlying Jungian construct or the model of IM), but I'll convey judgements basically rooted in socionic principles and its like he already knows. its more or less self evident and intuitive to him, like its built in to his worldview, although he will use his own personal language as the sheen on it
People are too impatient for Socionics. It took me around 7 months of reading and watching others along with talking to a friend about it before I felt like I really understood it. Most people aren't willing to put that much time and effort into something unless there's some tangible benefit.

You are a troll @thehotelambush
maybe socionics is too dumb for people ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You can't be too dumb for Socionics. If you have the interest in something, you'll understand it eventually. And honestly if you can't understand it, I'd blame it on the system itself rather than the person since Socionics isn't really an official system.
People are too stupid in general. Period.
Although it is not necessarily their fault...
Ideally, socionics (or a more advanced equivalent) should be taught to children in schools somewhere in the near future.
Well, i should correct this stupidity in general sense.
People who are "dumb" at socionics can be people who are:
1. Not studying socionics at all
2. Not familiar with socionics, but with mbti. (just accept it guys, we all started at mbti)
3. People who have higher priority to study other than socionics
4. Socionics isn't a fucking social status. It doesn't make you better than everyone else if you master socionics or not.
@Tigerfadder ok, I will admit my response to your robot thread was a bit tongue-in-cheek
Taking how many people can't understand own type stably and without contradiction to core theory for years, sometimes this looks so.
yes. also I'm one of themAre people too dumb for Socionics?
People aren't too dumb for socionics. Socionics is the reason people get dumb.
