    Default This Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, we must all put down our copies of Also Sprach Zarathustra and remember what true "normies" are doing this time of year:

Watching The Peanuts and posting Minions memes, blonde jokes, and generic inspirational quotes on Facebook.

    Amen!

Now, back to updating my Kurt Weill Christmas playlist.

lol I like some heternormative and normie things about Thanksgiving... they make me feel safe & comfortable kinda tho I do know safety is an illusion. I like just sitting around in my pajamas eating Turkey & dressing- because I'm secretly a Si valuer.

I don't like how trendy businesses try to be 'hip' and say things like Friendsgiving. Fuck your Friendsgiving. It's THANKSgiving.

n0ki/zap suddenly appears! Zap: BUT WHAT ABOUT FAGSGIVING!!!!

    Yes, I wish u all a happy Fagsgiving. <3

Friendsgiving with benefits (and also friendsreceiving): really not what companies mean.

Fagsgiving: the last refuge of British smokers who don't like being shamed whenever they have to buy their fags at the store, so they all buy fags "for a friend/relative" and give them to... each other. However, the gay version is better.

Just because it's a myth doesn't mean it's not real. Unlike Joseph Campbell's followers, I don't think that means it is real, I just think "myth" and "reality" are orthogonal.

It's a holiday dedicated to the Pilgrims and Indians eating turkey, not worshiping Christmas. It's still the most boring and normie holiday with no goblins, elves, or sexy bunnies, however.

"We conquered; let's eat" is unironically a good honest precedent for a celebration tbh. Even the quasi-religious trappings of it are a lot less relevant than the idea of prospering after defeating a foe. Maybe we'd have a lot less cognitive dissonance in this age if we were open about thinking of things this way.

    Happy Love giving

    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE
