I also generally disdained most of the cops in The Wire, mostly because of pointless coppy camaraderie, even though they were good characters.

hated robert deniros character in raging bull - by the time the movie was over i literally wanted to puke. but that had more to do with the ex he reminded me of.
its random but that white prostitute nola in hustle & flow seemed like somebody i could be really good friends with or maybe she reminded me of myself. when she said she could tell when he was messing with her head i almost cried for some reason.
i have a soft spot for the genius nerd guy trope. giles on buffy, spencer on criminal minds, etc.

I despise dexter...it's the actor, not the character though.. The show has massive potential to interest me, but from episode one I couldn't get over the fact that...THE GUY LOOKS LIKE A PSYCHOPATH-AUTISTIC-RETARD!!!! (in my experience the real psychopaths are charming and very very good at hiding their psychopathy.. why did they screw up the show with that actor...just to make it "safe to watch" for the men/women in the streeet?? whyyyyyyy *wrings hands in despair*
I also despise the whitecloaks/children of the light in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, also any other inquisitor/religious dogmatic characters gets me either fearfull or into a hatefull rage...(this happens in real life too, I escaped church due to throwing paper airplanes from the balcony at the minister) ((In my defense, I was 10 and powerless against the indoctrination that was thrown at me, so my only resort was pranking the hell out of the environment!))

Yeah, the original dangerous liazons is better than cruel intentions as is his acting. But time of exposure is important in establishing role models and I saw cruel intentions before the original version ^^
I hate her as well, I actually stopped watching GoT because of her. Same as in Dexter, actor/actress ruins it for me...

For Game of Thrones... my favorite character was originally the king who got his head chopped off... even though he was stupid, at least he tried. Now it has to be the Imp.
Denzel was very cool in crimson tide. Never saw man on fire.
Willow from Buffy annoyed me, because the character was just as ruthless as the other villains but because she wore this 'sweet mask' (not real sweetness) it was all okay or something, she was just Joss' Mary Sue and it REALLY got on my nerves after awhile. I used to 'like her' but when she went after Johnathon and Andrew, that was kinda the last straw.
Sad part I don't ever see her apologize directly to them, just that 'she felt bad in general.' Which makes me think she didn't feel true guilt and is just another manipulative thing she's doing. She didn't even have the balls to apologize to people who really didn't deserve that, yeah both of them acted crappy and antisocial - but so did *everybody* that season.
Also Johnathon/Andrew/Warren were made fun of for 'not getting a real job' and being typical go-nowhere 20 something nerds, but Willow never had a job either and wasn't bullied for it. I'm glad Anya and Faith always called Willow out on her shit though.
Also I felt Caleb was an ineffective villain. I wanted to cheer him on killing the potentials at that point because at this point my favorite show turned into some weird thing I didn't recognize. Real misogyny in the real world is alot more subtle and socially accepted by both sides then just some 'soulless man' who wants to kill women. Also his eyes turned pitch black indicating his 'evilness' how campy and retarded can you get?

I've been thinking in this and I don't have fictional characters I admire. There are some I like and/or feel identified with, but no one I admire. All movie characters I admire where based in real stories, for example Desmond Doss, Schindler, William Wilberforce etc.
