    - Walks with friends (I once recruited my friends for a walk during a blizzard b/c I couldn't bear sitting inside any longer)
    - Heavy squats/deadlifts/cleans; learning a new physical skill like double-unders or handstands
    - Iced Nutella lattes
    - Long meals with friends
    - A good comedy show (TV show, stand-up, improv)
    - 16types ; BuzzFeed
    - Dessert
    - Physical intimacy (cuddling )
    - Daydreams
    - Journaling
    - Self-improvement literature

I feel like I didn't do this right, I started veering into non-sensual things, lol. Lemme try some more
    - Being really clean after a very thorough shower (shampoo, conditioner, shaving)
    - Putting on perfume
    - Putting on a nice outfit
    - Cracked black pepper
    - Burt's Bees tinted lip balm

Urghghgh I veered into practical things. Well, the things I splurge on:
    - Amtrak rides instead of bus (no motion sickness!)
    - A few nice articles of clothing
    - Plane tix when I need to break out of a rut

I am definitely a hedonist. I love beer/wine, weed, cigarettes, parties, sex, and rich food and sweets. And I pretty much refuse to do anything that isn't pleasurable, or at least I put it off for a long time.

I've been in the bath for two hours now. If I set the dial just right I get these slow gentle drips of cool water on the soles of my feet.

I'm looking for ideas and solidarity.

How do you indulge? How would you like to? Better yet, how should I?

    Here are some of mine:
    1. Treating myself to massages at the chiropractic school with my sister
    2. Some of my favorite cider
    3. Breakfast: scrambled eggs, a piece of fruit, a cup of hot green tea, a slice of cinnamon raisin toast and either calm music or a RadioLab podcast
    4. Watching Dr. Who or Father Brown with my mother while we eat a simple dinner prepared by the two of us
    5. Picnicking with friends while watching Shakespeare in the Park on a pleasant summer day
"Welcome to fairyland" highly resonates with me : D I also make lists a lot of times like you have done. Here are some of mine

    1. taking a bath with candles and music
    2. yummy foods
    3. yummy teas and coffee. i've recently switched to tea and quit coffee for the most part. never in my life did i think i would do this, but i did.
    4. getting my hair done, sometimes getting my nails done
    5. i absolutely love a good massage
    6. riding on my bike through interesting/nice pathways while listening to music and dancing on my bike
    7. i recently started wearing body spray/perfume. i used to not. the smells can be nice and relaxing or make me feel "pretty"
    8. i used to do recreational substances, more for the mental aspects i think, but the body buzz was nice, not really what i recommend unless you are extremely moderate and don't have an addictive personality, just keeping it real.

i don't consider myself much of a hedonist. i know in the past i scored lowest on having hedonistic features (highest on idealistic), but i think it went up a bit last time i checked.

    This!

I'm rather incapable of just "smelling the flowers" for the sake of it. Example, even at lets say and family reunion I have to be doing something to enjoy myself such as either running the kitchen and making the food or being the photographer. I can't just sit and talk and sip wine unless I'm having a good conversation (rare) with someone. It becomes boring rather fast if I'm not actively doing something preferably useful and being bored is stressful.

My hedonism revolves around avoiding boredom and stagnation. Boredom = pain and I avoid pain. Work is play.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE
