    Default Song - romantics

was thinking a quiet INFp.. but the more I thought about it, i couldn't really decide what type it is. This song's lyrics come from a Russian poem.

I knew that was Bjork right away from the voice. yeah I think she's IEI-Fe. Did you mean her or the song itself?

the song, in particular the lyrics. Coming from another cutlure, time, and medium it made me think about lovers' art through the ages. Like, I could see that being written by many types.

the way it's filmed and sung is emo.

I like it. The male's voice through me off at first, but its growing on me. The music itself is awesome. Also the starting visuals are cool.

Bjork is rly beautiful, though this was in 1993 or something?

    It's a catchy song.

    <something> I am here.
The things I'll give to you.
A stroke as gentle a feather.
I'll catch a rainbow from the sky and tie the ends together.

    Elements present in the lyrics?

Then, listen to the song. If you want, listen to some of Schiller's other music. I'll reveal what I think his type is later--but that is of course open to discussion before then.

The exercise here is to type the lyrics, and then see if you can cut some of the elements out based on an understanding of Schiller's type. And yes, it's not a lyrics-laden song at all

Default Type a bunch o' songs

With the above song, I'm interested in what happens near the end, where it comes to life almost and gets a lot of colour. I'd say it's largely Fi, the rest of the time however, yes?

Also, a general question, does program music have an integral type? Is the degree to which your imagination is engaged by program music's attempts to engage it type-related?

Can my taste in music be linked to my type? How about my responses to various types of music?

First of all, I'm sorry to hear about his death

I've always had Collins as Te-ESTj. VIs a lot like Eminem from what I recall.

I wouldn't let his type be definite proof that you are of any one specific type or not. I like lots of work that ISTjs have done, but that in no way makes me Beta.

    Phil collins songs like

    You'll be in my heart
    another day in paradise
    follow you follow me
    etc

seem super LSE to me. I never pictured him as LSI. More delta in general. I don't know his type; I haven't looked into it recently.

Compare to how Bono (and U2) addresses similar issues. U2 is beta, the whole quadra. And while I like their music a lot, usually, it's definitely a different feeling of how to go about it and how things are addressed.

I've never really liked his music. It just doesn't get to me. My impression would be beta>delta actually, and it's not because of what I said before.

I'm with you; I saw him being interviewed on a music channel here and LSI has been my impression. I think his lyrics are heavily Ni based as well

I don't know why (some people) like fat beardy and whatever else you would like to describe that in Phil Collins appearance. It is not appealing to me in the least.

Well then methinks you're judging his type based on completely subjective/personal criteria.

In the cover pic for the first youtube video with the triangle on it, he looks just like Liev Schreiber, who is LSI i think. In the photo above that video, he looks a bit like discojoe, doesn't he?

But I could see how someone might mistake him for a delta ST. Quasis... sigh...

I don't really get the discojoe resemblance. Liev Schreiber is up there with Schwarzenegger, John Wayne, Stalone, and Hugh Jackman in terms of people who epitomize the ESTj "tough guy" image as far as I'm concerned.

In a recent movie I watched, Liev Schreiber played a beta ST. "Defiance" if you want to check it out and let me know what you think.
