    Default Preferred toothpaste brand?

Do you have one? I'm not asking for any interesting reason. But it takes 2 seconds to say "Colgate" or "No."

I just picked up some stuff that makes your mouth black when you use it.

My dentist swears by non-whitening toothpaste followed by hydrogen peroxide.

Any whitening toothpaste. I drink a lot of coffee and green tea, and that tends to stain my teeth.

i'd like to give active charcoal toothpaste a try sometime as well.
The dentist i saw recently told me that she could not find any cavities at the spots that hurt when I chew sweet stuff. She said that maybe it's due to the enamel being worn off (maybe because of the way i brush my teeth or sth) and she applied a paste of sodium fluoride that i was supposed to keep for a couple of hours (no food). The difference was amazing and I think i could use a second application.
Anyway,i'd like to start using a toothpaste that contains this ingredient but those are normally sold at pharmacies and I keep forgetting to go there. Also, now that I know that the pain is not due to cavities i'm like hey maybe I can use it as a reminder to eat less sugar lol <3

as of late,i've been turning around the wheatgrass shot in my mouth before taking it down thinking it might benefit the ph and protect enamel

I use this cause it was the only toothpaste I could find WITHOUT fluoride at the store - https://www.hello-products.com/produ...ng-toothpaste/. They used to have Tom's fluoride free, but I guess they got rid of it. I don't understand the fascination with fluoride, they even put it in the water. You'd think it was a cooking ingredient or something. And it's toxic for the body.

Usually I buy some cheap no name tooth paste in a discount shop, because the ones with well known names are not significant better to justify the higher price of the product.
If a product does any harm to you you can sue the company that produce it, or not?

But I guess there is a difference between USA and Europe. In Europe the quality of such products are being tested from independed organizations on regular basis.

You've been asking some very intimate questions lately, e.g. about my masturbation habits, but this time you have gone to far... My toothpaste is none of your business!

No. I read whitening toothpaste tends to strip the enamel and therefore is actually bad o.O

I was actually just surprised when I was running to the store and asked my boyfriend if he had one and he did. I figured they were all the same, so having a preference must be unusual. This thread has been educational.

I use Crest. I know regular toothpaste isn’t the best for your health but I never cared for my health anyways.

    @ashlesha

It's faggy and uppity but I have liked Young Living's Thieves brand toothpaste. It's on the expensive side tho but its much more natural-y feeling in your mouth or something. The colgate/crest crap feels really commericall-y and processed in comparison for me now but I don't think there is a conspiracy that Flouride drains your souls and gives it to illuminati demons or anything. (they can already do that crap in much better ways lol)

But hey I think it works well cuz I've been using it for most of my sixth month period in between cleanings - and I got a really good report from my hygienist and dentist. But I think most of that is just I am really good at remembering to brush my teeth and flossing and getting into all the nooks and crannies and not forgetting anything lol.

I also wonder how quickly does it take for a cavity to form realistically- will just forgetting once do it if you eat something sweat, sticky and sugary and forget to brush or drink water? My dentist told me once as long as you drink some water after eating something that's bad for your teeth- you will be okay and not get a cavity. (Provided I guess a piece doesn't get stuck in there and you just leave it and not remove it with floss out of laziness)

I used to be a bit worse than this but now I pay attention closer to my body signals and if my teeth feel funky, I take care of them.

honestly don’t care/notice, but I hate when toothpaste is more on the bland side. I like it really strong minty, practically burning my mouth, makes my mouth feel cleaner. On the downside I think it can’t possibly be good for you, but what do I know My mom sent home some toothpaste once and it was incredible. I wish I could remember what it was. It might have been crest 3D white. I liked it so much I took a picture of it to remember what kind it was before I threw the tube away, but it’s on my other old phone probably...not on this one

I use the kind that coats your teeth in that stuff that probably causes cancer because that same substance allows me to partake of freezing food and beverage without experiencing agony. I could care less about the taste and smell and color and all of that. It's the resulting insensitivity to cold and the fact that it lessens the odds of my teeth rotting out of my head.

Great, now I'm thinking of the dentist. I probably haven't been to one in over two years. I'm always scared they're going to drop something down my throat and kill me.

    My routine:

    1. Mouthwash
    2. Scrape tongue with tongue-scraper
    3. Scrape off plaque with the plaque-scraper
    4. Floss. More satisfying when I see blood.
    5. Brush my teeth with COLGATE, with focus on hitting the area where the gums meet the tooth
    6. Take oral pro-biotics if needed

    lol nope.

I put a marshmallow on top of a graham cracker and put in microwave 20, seconds, watch it start expanding, then stop it. Take it out, throw a square of chocolate and another graham cracker on top, push down, and Voila!

I used a variety of pastes that I found in the store. And after I started having problems with my teeth, I immediately asked my dentist from https://jeffreygrossdds.com/services...tic-dentistry/ if it could be because of bad toothpaste, and he agreed. I immediately changed the pasta to vegan ASAP, from which I will definitely not get carried. Now I will definitely check whether my teeth are healthy much more often to avoid getting into a similar situation anymore. As a result, I spent money to cure my teeth instead of better monitoring them and spending this money on my business.

This is very good for whitening the teeth, but it can damage the external, protective layer of your teeth, and because of this, they will be damaged whenever you drink hot or cold drinks, eat too much sweets and so on. I choose to go to a professional dentist for teeth whitening services in Bay Village OH, they know better how to take care of teeth in a long term, and keep them healthy for as long as possible. I never wanted to have some implants, this is why I am very careful with all these home procedures.

I generally buy Crest products, but I'm not married to any particular brand. I am increasingly shifting my consumer preferences to "natural" products, especially products made locally or within the USA. I'm not "afraid of chemicals" or buying into grand corporate conspiracies, I have been adopting a minimalist approach to the things I put or use in and on my body. I'm gradually shifting to herbal soaps and shampoos, and supporting businesses that are making earnest sustainability efforts and care about the environment. I buy more organic produce, and free range meats, and prefer local farmers and ranchers over big name brands and imported goods, when and where available. If anyone has any recommendations on a toothpaste brand that checks all of these boxes, please let me know.
