Fantastic! Another Puroresu fan. Wasn't sure I'd find any here. I introduced hag to it a few months back with Shibata and Ishii's amazing G1 showing.

Awesome typings with Misawa and Kobashi. I've thought the same of Kobashi. LSI fits Misawa snugly I'd say. What would You type Kawada? Wasn't sure on Jericho but he comes off Fe base in some of the interviews I've seen. His corny humour probably does match ESE moreso tho. I would've thought Shawn was SEE based on his wild 90s stories, but perhaps ESE can be that dysfunctional and chaotic lol.

Hag and I watch New Japan on the regular. You ever wanna chill, PM us. Cheers!

I'm not sure, Japanese wrestling is much less personality based than American wrestling so I don't really know where to begin. He comes off differently than both Kobashi and Misawa so I assumed a Te-base type but I'm not sure.
I love wrestling because I have a weakness for anything that mixes physical exertion with theatrics, which is why I'm a fan of ballet and bullfighting as well. I'll probably join in on your discord sometime soon.

Nice to see You typed the Japanese names in the correct ordering (surname then forename) other than Shingo (Shingo is a cooler name anyways).

LIJ is actually comprised of Betas more than anything else, but they're basically a quasi/neo punk group, playing off a rebellious social outlier gimmick. As I've called them: "Punk rock with suits". Their leader is one of the most SEE-Fi people I know of, Sanada is SLI, and I'm totally unsure on BUSHI. I was unsure on Naito for ages cause he's very distinct, but those SEE-Fi descriptions were eerily accurate for him. LIJ is basically a motley crew, but given their individualistic/rebellious aesthetic I get what You were going for. Chaos, despite the name (which goes back over a decade to a different set of people entirely), is led by 3 Betas, so I get that. Bullet Club are basically just a less suave LIJ for foreigners, but they've had at least 2 Gamma leaders tbf.

That said, any group virtually anywhere will often be comprised of many different types of several Quadra, so in keeping with the spirit of each faction: Bullet Club is a survival of the fittest/revolutionary aesthetic, Chaos (ignore the name, it's just a benign title these days) is a meritocratic collection of passionate athletes, LIJ is a neo-punk rock group of suave suit-clad individuals who find solidarity in each other (Their name literally mean Ungovernable), Sekigun (the generic New Japan team) is just a collection of good-guy leftovers, and Suzuki-gun is almost completely incoherent in its membership, but is generally a faction for leftover heels, led my an MMA star.

    Edits and Additions:
Takahashi is a magnetic theater actor in personality (he'd be a natural), but he doesn't 'look' particularly Extroverted at first glance - until he actually talks, that is. Might be a EIE-Ni or some more reserved variant. Like Kobashi, he is very expressive and charismatic in the ring, and is composed and withdrawn outside of it.

Dragon Lee - I'd drop the ESI-Fi. He's more proactively aggressive like Ospreay, constrasted from Ibushi and Sho's more reactive aggression, and he's a more confident speaker than those two as well. Some of that might come down to his Latino cultural upbringing tho.
Move Nakajima and Kitamiya to "Other", as they're not BJW lads.
Add Sekimoto Daisuke to BJW as ESI. Not sure if ESI-Se or just middle of the road, so go middle of the road until further investigation. I thought he was Beta ST until I saw his twitter account absolutely filled with sentimental cute shit which kinda blew my mind lmao.
Add Okabayashi Yuji to BJW as SLE. He's probably Se subtype, but again, middle of the road until further analysis.
Add Kasai Jun to BJW as ESI-Se
Add Nick Jackson to Other as SLI

I have a bunch more in the works (Jeff Cobb as ESE, Nagata Yuji as LSE, Hashimoto Shinya as LSI-Se, Suzuki Hideki as LSI, and many others) but I need to look into them more before providing a general typing. I'm perfectly content just having this thread be the Hag/Carolus/Lynx thread.

@Carolus if You're familiar, I got Hag her very own Daryl Takahashi cat hahah. She's glued to it!

Addendum: Speaking of LIJ, if You haven't seen the Naito vs Shingo match from the G1, You absolutely need to. That match was fucking incredible.

I wanted one of those myself. I saw Shingo's match with Dragon Lee, since I quite like the latter, I'll make sure to check out the Naito match since you recommended it.

Shinsuke Nakamura: IEI? He has that Fe showmanship but he's more languid and much less of a work-horse than Tanahashi or Takahashi.

Hmmm, an IEI with an MMA background? Well, I guess it's not impossible. I haven't seen any interviews with him, and he was gone from New Japan before I started seeing subtitled interviews, so I don't know the guy very well. He's had a handful of excellent matches but he's not as consistent as the current main eventers, or the aforementioned. I have doubts Inoki would've chosen an IEI to be his new MMA/Wrestler hybrid star, and I imagine Intuitives are nearly non-existent in MMA, but exceptions do exist. I will at the very least agree based on a superficial impression of Shinsuke (who I have followed since well before his current Michael Jackson aesthetic and shit, back when he was more of a serious shooter/striker) is that he's a Perciever and almost certainly an F type.

If You liked the Dragon Lee (He's absolutely exceptional, Hag and I are big fans) match with Shingo, then You surely loved (or would) his BOSJ finals match against Ospreay. Shingo vs Ospreay is my current match of the year, followed by Tanahashi vs Omega at WK and Shingo vs Naito the other night.

I can't wait for Takahashi's return. Everyone's saying Jay White is the best redebuted Young Lion, but it's Takahashi for me, hands down (Sho is also excellent).
