Are you sure they are not mirrors? Eii-iee or ile-lii
The decisive thing is not the reality of the object, but the reality of the subjective factor, i.e. the primordial images, which in their totality represent a psychic mirror-world. It is a mirror, however, with the peculiar capacity of representing the present contents of consciousness not in their known and customary form but in a certain sense sub specie aeternitatis, somewhat as a million-year old consciousness might see them.

Well, it sucks, he never really gets over the fact I won't shower him with Fe 24/24 or appreciate his Ti, and we're not that close now that I'm an adult. I have some LSI friends, but this parental relationship, because it is close, and because my father always wanted to have authority over me, was a sometimes a burden to carry. Also, I guess he was a bit disappointed as an ST to have a 'sissy' NF son. He was a good father, he was never mean or downright unfair to me, and he was taking his responsabilities very seriously in the household, but what he gave/expected from me wasn't really what I needed to thrive.

I think I posted something similar already, but Kafka, which I type IEE-Fi, wrote something similar about his father(from the descriptions, I'd guess a beta ST):
Father, understand me correctly: these are completely insignificant details, yet they oppressed me, because you, a great man of authority, could lay down rules for me, and ignore them. And through this I saw that the world was divided into three parts: in the first lived the slave, me, under laws invented solely for my life but to which, without understanding why, I could never fully adjust; and in the second part lived you, infinitely far from me, busy ruling, giving commands and being angry when they weren’t followed; and in the third lived everybody else, happy and free from commands and obedience. And I was constantly in disgrace, either because I followed your commands, and that was a disgrace, as they were valid only for me; or I was stubborn, and that was also a disgrace, because I was being stubborn to oppose you; or I wasn’t able to obey, because I, for example, had not your strength, your appetite, your skill, to do whatever it was that for you seemed natural. Franz Kafka, Letter to My Father
But that relationship was overshadowed by the suckiness of the relationship between my mom and dad and sister. There is a balance and stability to conflict relationships, that even if uncomfortable, never allows the kind of conflicts i've witnessed between my other family members:

    Mom-dad: super ego
    Sister/dad and Mom/sister: supervision

The Barnum or Forer effect is the tendency for people to judge that general, universally valid statements about personality are actually specific descriptions of their own personalities. A "universally valid" statement is one that is true of everyone—or, more likely, nearly everyone. It is not known why people tend to make such misjudgments, but the effect has been experimentally reproduced.

The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".

Neither really depend on eachother. My dad is still kind of the man of the house I guess, in the sense that he has the most confidence in himself and doesn’t have Fi making him afraid to be more assertive. My parent's don't have a typical supervisor relationship even though I'm pretty sure of their types. I’m generally skeptical of intertype relationship theory anyways and it’s part of the reason I made this thread

What's it like having conflictor parents? Do they conflict as much as socionics likes us to believe?

Yeah they hate each other and haven't spoken since 2013.

My family is all around pretty insane and ridiculously impulsive. Definitely would have benefited with more Te or Ti in the family.

Well there's alot of Se "girlboss"-ness in her, the problem is that it really doesn't go well with my dad or me, so it just ends up being her falling flat most of the time.
