Yes, she asked about our experiences, and I am an EP. I think my husband, an SLI, would have no real discussion with an identical, and they would split their time between working on a car (which is all he does other than work and sit on the sofa) and drinking beer. It would be silent almost the whole time, with maybe a "you want another one" and an affirmative sounding grunt occasionally. He likes to have me around when he's with most people so that someone is talking. Except his best friend (LSE) - they have no problems keeping conversation going.

I apologize for my husband and I fitting into some Socioincs stereotypes. Him particularly, he really does just work (as little as possible), work on cars and things, and sit on the sofa. Oh wait, and he's addicted to Craigslist - he loves buying broken things, fixing them, and then selling them. He and the LSE do that together and have much fun. But we can't seem to help fitting into these stereotypes. Anyway, I do realize that not all SLIs are into working on cars and sitting on their butts as much as my husband. And that not all IEEs are chatty and run off on tangents as much as I do.

I have an SLI friend which loves working with tools, but can also really talkative. Can be taken for an extravert when in a good mood. I believe there might be some cultural factors at play, or perhaps DNCH subtype, IDK.

Anyway, as far as my identical goes. I have many identical friends. I believe it's the second best relationship, just next to dual. Generally, we plan and execute activities toghether (hiking, cycling, going to museums, explore new places) and/or discuss intellectual topics. So, what's the problem? Well, generally we're not particularly good at including other people in our activities. I believe we all expect from each other a bit more emotionality, so sometimes we might "lose" some sense of "friendship" by just...forgetting about each other, and expecting the other to make an effort in order to reconnect.

I haven't experienced strong competition from my identicals. We generally obtain very similar results if we apply our skills to a particular field (supposing we share the same level of "talent", of course), and we are in agreement when it comes to how some goal/task should be accomplished. I have experienced competition and envy from male duals, though. Some of them prefer not to hang out with me if they know I'm better than them at something, I believe it's their creative ( types hate to lose, IME).

Quieter LIIs usually seem boring, but if they're more like me it's an interesting relationship. I know this pretty cool LII girl. It's weird, it actually feels too intense, like I need to hold back a little to get a little distance. Lately I've been trying to minimize ego function craziness, but being around another LII makes it difficult.

Oh and when does it get dull :tongue I don't see how because when does anyone ever stop giving someone new information in relationships?!

90% of my best friends throughout my life have all been fellow IEIs. I seem to naturally gravitate towards them for best friend relationships.

So she was talking how boring ILI's are, but since now she's an SEE she probably suddenly likes ILI's.

Not saying I'm LII, but theorizing it. I know one possible LII well, who seems cooler (into a hardcore fad and skateboarding) and more down-to-earth or realistic than myself, so I don't think we have a lot of common interest. He is also Ti subtype. My best friend is LSI, and our relations seem to work out well, in large part because I've known him forever and have always been around him and the same "things" together, we always can share ideas freely and our sense of humor is able to match and adapt with one another. He's also Ti-sub, and he seems to focus more on Fe than I do, often as betas do try to form opinions about trivial or material things (here-and-now-ish), I would say my ethics by comparison are a lot more under the surface. He has more friends and plans, often plays the busy card even if there's nothing really he has to do. He is also more stern J-ish and has bigger opinions and a bigger ego, and has to try to relax with me, and not get distracted by other things. I don't know if it's just me, I think it may just be that alphas and deltas are pretty naturally in their zone or current place, but I think I'm naturally just more chilled in my thoughts and carefree than most people too. He and I manage anyway. My impression of famous LIIs is likeness, maybe some identification problems if they're not emotionally connected enough, but I'm not really the humanistic type either. I think there is reason from my relations with Ti egos, in their emphasis of Fe, as to why I might not be Fe-valuing. Because my Fe tends to be understated, I have a more subjective attitude toward feelings and don't feel the need to express or objectify them. However I also tend to be attracted to Fe-egos, especially the introverted ones, and I'm not that focused much on human relationships and stereotypical proper conduct, and do have a lot of subjective logical thoughts, so who knows at this point.

I find ILEs of the same subtype to be a lot more interesting (ie. Conan Obrien), and one is a good friend of mine and I can listen to him for hours, but they probably don't find me to be that interesting. They seem a lot more jokey and quick-witted about things, always finding an immediate angle where to entertain. LII humor on the other hand is often something they try to develop and takes a longer time to express, and that's always fun whoever it is. I currently don't see a lot of relationship differences between LIIs and ILEs, more so personality differences. I just happen to know more ILEs well in real life, so I have a stronger sense of relation with them. My Ne-ILE friend is actually pretty relaxed, where as the Ti-ILE I know likes to move around and do stuff. I think the latter is related to EP, but some people of that type to lesser extents. The theme seems to be, when they're relaxed then they don't need to go do stuff, which is what I really like because I'm usually the same way, even if I have something else on my mind. More so with LIIs there will be something on their mind, so they might need to go away from people and think.

ILI's are great. SLI's aren't bad, I just tend to see too many of my flaws in them, like how lazy and unmotivated I can be...which is funny because I give them crap for it but I'm the same way deep down. It almost feels too comfortable. I dunno, not bad.

I don't like the closed off and unhealthy types of me who have not come to evolve and change some of their habits and grow both as a person and as a character. I usually make very loving friends and very supportive network with EII. I love the way we care about each other, the way we know what the other needs to feel better, like giving hugs or tea or not pressuring the other to do E type activities when we don't feel like it because we understand each others energy levels.

I've met very unhealthy EII and like Starfall, my experience is that most have ended in tears.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Easy to see faults. On the other hand there are NTR things like impulse control issues which can make things bizarre.
