    Default The Addams Family

I cannot find any good clips from the original show, but I recently came across it on some obsure TV time spot.

    Addams Family

Seems like an example of ISFj - ENTj duality

i could see that. however, i also think a lot of 1950's-1960's television shows had EXTj husbands with like, XSFj wives or something. i suppose it was the ideal then?

    First, I agree with UDP.

@implied - what other tv shows are you thinking of?

how about Bewitched? I think that was ENTj-ISFj... (I don't have arguements for this )

Okay, I agree, Bewitched is ENTj-ISFj, where Samantha is a good ISFj character, but only Darrin II (Dick Sargent) was closer to an ENTj, with Dick York's Darrin more like an -- out-of-focus caricature of one.

    Default The Addams Family

Saw the Pre-Broadway production of The Addams Family here in Chicago last night, starring Nathan Lane. Wow, what a show! I loved it.

I thought the typing went like this:

    Gomez: SLE
    Morticia: IEI
    Wednesday: EIE
    Pugsley: SEI
    Mal:LSE
    Lucas: IEI
    Alice: IEE
    Uncle Fester: SEI or ESE
    Lurch: ILI
    Grandma: EIE

anyway, too fun. Overall, the musical was very Ni and Fe, in my opinion. Focus on death and love and finding meaning and lots of dramatic expression. Taking the good with the bad, the sad with the happy, etc. E-4ish I suppose.

What would you say Gomez from the animated series is?

I've never seen the animated series (I'm too old!!). My typings were based solely on the musical (which was based on the drawings and not on any of the tv series).

Oh, good! I'm very excited for that show. Also, the character Nathan Lane plays is SLE? That's funny. He's a great actor though, sure he did an amazing job. If the show's good it'll probably get the tony for best musical, 'cause this season is rather sparse musical theater wise (straight plays are a whole different story though).

Which theater did Addams Family play in Chicago? (I know a little bit about Chicago theater, just 'cause it's such a regional powerhouse).

MUCH LATER EDIT: Oh, wait, I forgot about Fela. nvm, that's going to take the tony over Addams Family, almost certainly.

Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

    Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...

I am grateful for the mystery of the soul, because without it, there could be no contemplation, except of the mysteries of divinity, which are far more dangerous to get wrong.

    Default The Addams Family

I’m particularly interested on the types of Morticia (my Halloween costume this year, my little sister will be Wednesday) and Gomez. They seemed like a potential dual pair in the new cartoon version. Gotta watch the Christina Ricci version again (she is my favorite)

Any ideas on these characters types?

Aha! There is a thread on this. I saw the new cartoon version tonight and couldn’t help but notice that Morticia and Gomez do appear to be a dual couple, or some sort of opposite types. Curious for more typings on them.

I could believe Gomez as LIE/EIE and Morticia as ESI/LSI.
