Harry Partch
a few of you are undoubtedly familiar with him. partch was american composer who more or less created the field of microtonal music. all of his music is incredibly unconventional and idiosyncratic. created a great number of extremely strange instruments. clearly had his own highly personal and unusual calling to create music and a well-reasoned set of philosophical values.
