I thought that the actor playing Leonidas when young looked INFp-ish.
As for Gerard Butler, who played him as an adult -- at least he learned to speak English without his native Glasgowegian accent.

i liked the guy who played leonides perhaps istj is a good guess. not quite enough Se for estp. but he was pretty forceful for sure! lol
the newspaper said the entire movie was filmed against a greenscreen....
the only thing that was off was that there was all this blood flying around but the soldiers had barely any blood on them.

Yeah it was all filmed inside a sound stage with some sets and lots of green screen.
Xerxes was ENFj there.
I first thaught he was INTj, but that was just an shallow impression. ISTj sounds great.

I think Sparta in the history books (I haven't seen the film) seems quite ISTp (almost certainly ISTx) - isolationist + tough with a huge focus on the military side of things over any form of culture.
The Persians are always portrayed as lavish and overemotional etc. in 5th century Greek texts etc., so ENFj would probably be a likely type (but from a Greek perspective). If the stories about Xerxes are true, I agree he's prolly a ENFj too - he's quite pissy really - punish the sea by beating it, watching the battle of Salamis from a hill top throne, and his assumption force would win the day amongst other things.

is Gerard Butler an Ni type? there are two threads on this on the forum and he has been typed INTj, ISTj, and INFp.
khamelion's friend who is currently being considered by some as possibly entj made me remember i thought Butler was possibly ENTj.
(though, lol, he's looking decidedly less so when i look at these still photos -- movie previews look Ni to me!)
