It is the way you talk about stuff, it is very similar to the way the INTj girl I knew who worked at a library would talk about stuff. It is hard to explain, but there seems to be an odd similarity.

Assuming I'm an ISTp, could you tell me a little more about how and would play out as the 7th and 8th functions please?

To tell you the truth, they really don't. I don't notice them that much. They are have to be used sometimes, but the're not concious and you don't use or think about most of the time. They are kind of invisable.

Also I find that I'm not always confident about my own taste. Wouldn't ISTp normally be very confident in this area? I really don't like insults regarding this function.

It's more about knowing how to adapt well and being able to take control over your own body and being. You sense whether or not you want a drink, or to turn the heat down, or you feel that person touching your shoulder and you don't like it, etc.

Resonate...I don't think neither Dual relation is perfect nor ENTp is evil, for example, but I think I see well what made icepick reach to them. It's hard to express, but if he tell about the experiences originating his view, I would be able to imagine well what he say next.
Think leveling at rough direction, not in particular.
