    Default King of the Hill

Best cartoon show ever. So what about their types?

    Hank - ENTj
Peggy - INFp (she is a spittin' image of my mother)
    Bobby - ESFp
    Bill - ISFj perhaps
Dale - You know, I really can't tell
    Boomhauer - ISTp
    Buck - I'd say ENFp
    Cotton - ESTp

And the rest, I don't know.

    More, lol
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

    Peggy is an INFp ??
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.

Impossible. She's some kind of extroverted ethical type.
Her main characteristic is her huge egocentrism which leads to her extremely high self-esteem and inability to read others' emotions. She is a mainly analytical person, highly imaginative, and has a close resemblance to Dale's personality. She is also highly competitive and feels isolated from other women. She is self-sufficient and quite often asserts this independence. That is my reasoning for NT.

You said you thought she was some sort of dumb T type. You also said INTp?

Peggy looks similar to how I imagine Slacker_mom's mother (ENTj). There are pictures of her somewhere. She seems to have a similar vibe.

Hank looks ESTj, but behaves like someone with Se in super-ego block.

PS! wow. Notice how typing has changed so much in one year. lol. Especially Cone's reasoning for an NT type. deeeep!

Not sure why I'm bringing this thread back up, but yes, this is exactly the case. Hank is an INTj and Peggy an ESFj.

Interesting though because usually this system doesn't work too well on fictional characters, but these ones are very consistent personalities.

I hereby recant everything I've ever said on this forum before the Great Reunion of the Ancients. That is all.

...Also, Hank = intuitive, Peggy = sensing? That seems like an enormous stretch. Hell, they don't even seem like duals (although their relationship isn't much elaborated on in the series.) I think I heard the creators say once that if Hank and Peggy were a real-life couple, they probably wouldn't have worked out very well.

    Here are my unnoficial typings.

Hank and Peggy: ESI and LIE dual pair, respectively.
Bobby and Connie: ESE and LII dual pair, respectively.
    Luane: IEI
    Dale: IEI
Cotton: SLE if I ever saw one.
    Joseph: LSI
Khan and Minh: LSI and EIE dual pair (status conscious, super strict Asian parent stereotypes. EDIT: They're almost like my LSI-EIE parents)

Peggy: "Code of honor!? I don't have a code of honor! Who the hell has a code of honor?" Is that likely to be something a Fi ego type would say so seriously? Genuine question.

Peggy also seems to be the main character most annoyed with Fe demonstrations (most annoyed with Bill and also Enrique, both I'd type as SEI, and also Luanne at many times). Well, maybe a close second behind Hank. Her general tendency is to participate in these situations, but she tends to make a faux-pas and disrupt the atmosphere in some way (unintentionally or intentionally). I was also surprised how quickly she resorts to aggressive and even violent acts (she straight out decks someone) while rewatching the show, but it's typically after the unwillingness of some character to listen to logic and facts. EII seems highly unlikely. Her behavior in "Goodbye Normal Jeans" might be the greatest argument for Si PoLR in the show and also duality between Hank/Bobby.

From what I remember about Peggy is her neurotic need to do stuff right way. My memory can be bit faulty. I need to rewatch some episodes. I might give ESE a change.
KotH characters are not that (facially) expressive. It is very dry series which can skew at least my view.

Yep. No change for Te ego...
my ESTj dad sucks at spanish too I don't think he cares about how he says something as long as he gets his point across, while Fe egos are looking for a certain kind of feedback from the listener and so phrase things carefully. Ti devaluing could also have to do with the lack of effort put into categorizing words and meanings together, making one more careless about how they talk. though I could be completely wrong.

Watched the pilot. Hank was meant to be THE LSE. Somebody just toned down his Se drastically and made much more even tempered.

Peggy: It is not that Te ego would be good at something like Spanish but the way she presents herself with it. I think Peggy was EII in the pilot.
