Default INFj and talking to yourself

I am still a little unsure as to whether I am an INFJ or not, but so far it seems like the most likely one for me. So, I was just wondering about this thing I do and if it is an INFJ trait in general. That this is: talking to myself out loud when I do not mean to. For example I was walking down a sidewalk yesterday thinking about one of my classes and then just all of a sudden noticed that I was sort of saying what I was thinking. It was more of a mutter/whisper than actual talking but it was certainly out loud.

So then, do other INFJ's or Deltas do this?

Hehe, I guess you were really deep in thought.

I dunno. I doubt it's rare that people actually talk out loud when they're deep in thoughts.
Haven't noticed any of my INFj friends do this yet though.

I'm ALWAYS afraid that I'm talking out loud whenever I start thinking deep and spacing out Most of the time I'll say anything that's appropriate to say out loud, so only really awkward and rediculous shit gets kept up in the noggin.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

umm i'm not infj but i talk to myself sometimes. like i have an internal monologue going on in my head and it slowly creeps it's way into my voice, lol. and i also talk to non-living things.... like my computer. I hate my computer, it's a 4 year old laptop that's slowly falling apart on me. We have a shitty relationship. It wants me to go out and buy shiny new parts for it but i'd rather just watch it die so that i have an excuse to get a new one. i often have to fuck around with the headphone jack to get sound, and the screen is totally floppy! it doesn't stay up at all, it's like it needs fucking viagra or something, and the cd-rom drive is utterly dead so i can't even burn anything. my friends surely hear me verbally abusing it often, which they probably find kinda weird, but i'm sure my friends do their own little weird things so they understand

Yeah that is exactly what I am talking about!

and i also talk to non-living things....
I do this too. Though I usually am able to keep it inside my head. I talk to my contacts quite a bit, like when it is time to through them out I tell them that they are going to have a nice retirement

I talk to myself more than I think I should.
Hmm, schizophrenia runs in the family... maybe I'm just gearing up to possibly having some imaginary friends like my father does...lol

I'm just about as INFJ as they come, and I can say with some certainty that I DO talk to myself, sometimes verbally.

Is this a worrying sign? Not really. Almost everyone talks to themselves and INFJ's are known to be among the deepest of thinkers. You should only worry if you hear another, different, voice giving you an answer. Then you should go see your doctor, or more likely a shrink, immediately.

When in private, I think out loud a lot. One coping mechanism when I'm stressed is talking to myself, some of the stuff I say is just random and makes no sense. Or just utter things when thinking about other people. I may just start laughing when I remember something funny. Or it may be phrases that help me to process certain situations, or help me to figure things out.

I also say words like, "stupid," or "I'm such an idiot" being I get easily frustrated with myself. My mom had overheard me saying such things, and she gets scared there's more wrong with me than we already know. She talks to herself too, so must run in the family. Or remember something that I did or said that I regret doing or saying. In public places, I've gotten the urge to but manage to restrain myself. There have been times when I worry that I'll say something that I want to keep in my head out loud.
