It is southern california ... you can tell because there are joshua trees in full view and southern california is the only place in the world with joshua trees.
Thats a pretty sharp observation. I can't even tell an oak tree from a cherry tree. This video reminds me of this forum slightly ... "it has all been said"

Joshua trees are pretty easy to pick out ... they look like spiney cactus like palm trees except with knotted looking limbs.

Anyway, what 'the Q' express in that movie is something I've been through.
But at the same time, it reminds of what Q said to Picard in the trials ---
There are other ways to explore.
If the Q exploited all those ways, so be it. Perhaps death is the next adventure, no one really knows.
