MysticSonic showed that video a long time ago in chat as an example of an ESTj and INTj [zappa] debate.

I thought the other guy was an entp.

I used to think Zappa was intp but I don't know anymore after seeing him like that.

    actually, the suggested types were
    zappa LIE and bolton LII.

i don't know if that conclusion is right, but zappa is certainly a hell of a lot more perceptive than bolton.

    edit: bolton, lofton, same thing.

I don't think you can claim the other guy's stupidity on type; I don't know many people who would still agree with him.

Zappa is of course right that the goverment can't tell us what is ok and what is not ok for us to listen to.

unfortunately, i can't find the original post. i myself am not 100% sure of who posted the thread (just going by what vague said) but i remember that it tagged zappa as LIE and lofton as LII.

He's an introverted thinking type. I can't decide LII, LSI, or ILI.

    I'm not really sure.

Zappa seems sort of ENTxish there.

I was going to say ILE, but I can see LII too.

Obvious Alpha is obvious. He's a great musician but...I just can't get into it.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I listened to this once while on acid, drinking red wine alone in a dark room. Fucking intense.

About his type, ehm, I didn't watch the video since the music I'm listening to just now is too good to be paused, but I think he is a NT of some sort, probably not LIE.. Haven't given much thought to it tho.

this stuff is great ... democratic, Ti-valuing, strongly static (IJ>EP), involutionary/result - all of it points towards LII

I don't give a fuck if they remember me at all.

Being interviewed is one of the most abnormal things that you can do to somebody else. It's two steps removed from the Inquisition.

Take the Kama Sutra. How many people died from the Kama Sutra, as opposed to the Bible? Who wins?

The more boring a child is, the more the parents, when showing off the child, receive adulation for being good parents - because they have a tame child-creature in their house.

Their stupidity does not amaze me, its when they're smart that amazes me.

    Being alive is so weird.

I'm probably more famous for sitting on the toilet than for anything else that I do.

    Tobacco is my favorite vegetable.

Scientology, how about that? You hold on to the tin cans and then this guy asks you a bunch of questions, and if you pay enough money you get to join the master race. How's that for a religion?

The essence of Christianity is told to us in the Garden of Eden history. The fruit that was forbidden was on the Tree of Knowledge. The subtext is, All the suffering you have is because you wanted to find out what was going on. You could be in the Garden of Eden if you had just kept your fucking mouth shut and hadn't asked any questions.

We live in a very special time right now. At no other time in history has there been such mass disillusionment in terms of reliance on governing functions. Most people don’t want to come to terms with that.

One of the common social roles for the LSI on Wikisocion is,

"The rational artist who sees music, film, or visual art as a language to be deciphered."

That could fit Zappa pretty well. He reminds me a lot of my ISTj father as well.
But I can't totally discount the possibility of him being INTj.

I've seen tons of Frank Interviews. LSI fits him well as far as I can tell. In MBTI he's typed ISTP, but then, this is Socionics tbf
"We live in an age in which there is no heroic death."

I'll buy LSI (rational artist subtype) for Frank Zappa. CD cognition and Ti/Se valuing. In contrast, ENTp doesn't talk about the way things "should" be, like Zappa does there. His analysis of the business processes and the products involved with his work is very detailed.

Incidentally, some of the things he says in that interview remind me of Glenn Danzig, who I type as LSI. Danzig would say that he hates everyone, and Zappa said that he hates most most of the art out there, lol.
