    "DiCaprio ESFj", "Matt Damon ESTj"

I think the only reaction for reading these things is indignation.

Probably been said a million times, but its LIE.
Projection is ordinary. Person A projects at person B, hoping tovalidate something about person A by the response of person B. However, person B, not wanting to be an obejct of someone elses ego and guarding against existential terror constructs a personality which protects his ego and maintain a certain sense of a robust and real self that is different and separate from person A. Sadly, this robust and real self, cut off by defenses of character from the rest of the world, is quite vulnerable and fragile given that it is imaginary and propped up through external feed back. Person B is dimly aware of this and defends against it all the more, even desperately projecting his anxieties back onto person A, with the hope of shoring up his ego with salubrious validation. All of this happens without A or B acknowledging it, of course. Because to face up to it consciously is shocking, in that this is all anybody is doing or can do and it seems absurd when you realize how pathetic it is.

He reminds me of an old dear friend who as far as I know never took at type test nevertheless seems very LSI - the very likable kind. If not then maybe LII but he seemed too practical and sensy grounded for that. Definitely a closure-reliability-seeking J, definitely an introvert.

Because he is. He is the quiet sort of guy that keeps a lot in or prefers to share with close confidants or to himself. He plays introvert roles all the time, too. Introverts open up more sometimes if there is a lot of loving acceptance and possible fame but they stay introverts.

    Sp first.

I see no issue with Te base, he seems to have the energy of one. In that interview that was shared where he was arguing with this reporter...something about teachers, he seemed pretty heavily Te and not as reserved as SLIs are. In general, he seems to initiate things, take control of whatever he considers important, for his and those whom he cares about - security, safety livelihood...all very Te + SP, as I see it.

Extroverts don't have to share a lot.

That is what Beta STs do, actually. The real LSEs are bad at this. I know because my father is one. Te is like a walking encyclopedia. That is what Te really means.

    ...?

The LSE is assertive, operative, and hard-working. Cannot sit still not being engaged in anything. Prefers actions to words. Has a developed sense of responsibility. Fights chaos and disorder wherever he might be. Dislikes it when he is being distracted from what he is doing. If taking a break, he does it as thoroughly as he does his work.

Appreciates merit and good quality above everything else. Tries to provide for his loved ones by means of increasing their material prosperity. Very caring. Comes to rescue when someone is threatened by physical danger. In such a situation acts with courage and determination.

Intolerant of trickery and wiles. Expresses his opinion directly. In business and practical dealings, he is dry and official, but in an informal atmosphere shows kindness and a sense of humor. Doesn't have sufficient diplomacy in relations - may get agitated, lose his temper. A stubborn debater, becomes hot-tempered when proving his correctness. Doesn't know how to make compliments. Dislikes empty chatter, though finds it difficult to cut off a phone conversation.

Getting stuck in details of work, he sometimes doesn't finish it in time, which is very upsetting for him. Unprepared for unexpected events. Slowly learns and accepts new trends, developments, and styles; often is conservative and supports traditions.
The way LSE is usually described is that they are very practical minded, prefer to do work, that is, not just immaterial pursuits which is all in your mind so to speak, but something where they can see actual (Si) results (Te).

I didn't mean take control in the sense of forcing the environment around him to yield to his commands. I meant control over his own productivity, taking care of himself and his family, making sure they are well-supported, etc. Te puts a lot of importance in their 'reputation' that they create for themselves, through hard work. For LSEs specifically it's about "good quality work" as the descriptions point out.

Also Beta and Delta ST will have some slight overlap because same higher dimensional functions. I still see no in him though, at least compared to and

I put more stock in functional analysis than descriptive profiles because they are often erroneous or contradictory when one takes in the whole picture, I have found.

I have had many LSI friends including 3 who types as such on type tests and they are very similar and certainly distinct from the LSEs and Slid I have known. I wrote Praise posts for both introverts in their Quadra boards to help people freshly differentiate between the two. And yeah, Matt Damon is a lot like my LSI friends, which also echoes the sentiments of earlier posters in this thread until LSE became the bandwagon.

I guess because he is a celebrity, people project a lot onto those about whom not much is known
He still vibes strongly Delta to me though, and I guess because LSIs have high dimensional and they might also come across as Si valuing at times so that could be a point of confusion
According to the descriptions of Te and Si by themselves, he would also very likely fit it. He seems to be driven very much by Te. One need not be "good at it" as you put, because that sounds subjective; one need only value it and be decent at it.

Things start to unravel here as her character begins to question this guy, the communication breaks down--->

The interplay between these two strikes me as the dynamic in beta dyads. Lots of intensity moving towards unspoken mutual trust as she recognizes he, although seemingly at first, is not the bad guy.
